The much awaited Honda NSX’s launch has got relegated delayed, and the new launch date has been set to 2016’s spring. The NSX was originally scheduled to hit the car market towards the end of this year, which has now been pushed back by about 6 months.

The new Honda NSX will be offered for sale in the American car market as the Honda Acura, while in Europe it will be called the NSX. The Japanese company has already announced that the primary reason for the delay of the car’s launch is the change in its engine layout that became needful during its development process.

Honda spokesperson confirmed that the Acura’s launch delay will also be accompanied by the delay of the introduction of the European NSX, as the cars all get rolled out from the same manufacturing facility. It will be in spring 2016 that the NSX or Acura will launch in the markets, but the exact launch date is yet to be decided.

More details are expected to come out later this year, probably around in the month of October.

The European spec model of the Honda NSX was unveiled first at the 2015 Geneva motor show earlier this year, while the car’s first world premier happened at the 2015 Detroit show held in January.
