The Honda Clarity is a consumer centric sedan model that is high on style, quality and comfort along with the superb freedom from fossil fuel usage and complete environmental friendliness.</p>

<p>Honda has officially launched the new Clarity in its home market Japan, and the car is now available for sale. Honda Motors wishes to sell around 200 units of the Clarity within this financial year.</p>
<p>The primary intention of the new Honda Clarity is to offer a fully green, comfortable 5-seat family sedan along with an affordable price range. The Honda Clarity is an advanced hydrogen fuel cell vehicle that has cruising range of as much as 750 kilometers on a full tank. The new Honda Clarity with its enhanced cruising power is also claimed to come with a 30 percent performance enhancement as compared to its previous iteration. The new Clarity will take only 3 minutes to fully refuel the car’s tank. With all these improvements and advanced technology, the new Honda Clarity FCV has made the vehicle one of the top cruising sedan models that come with zero emission capability.</p>
<p>Honda has equipped the Clarity with a highly powerful powertrain has the capability to deliver a peak power of 174 hp along with a top torque of 300 Nm. The recently introduced fully green saloon comes with an external power source or Power Exporter 9000. This highly convenient power source works like a generator which can be easily used like a home inverter and power your household in case of a power failure for as many as 5 days. The Japanese car major also claims that the energy that is used to power its car models can also efficiently power households as well that can eventually enable people to save electricity of 5 days.</p>
<p>Honda Motors intends to initiate the adoption of superb power saving automobiles in the form of hydrogen Fuel Cell Vehicles which can efficiently change the future of mobility in the world.</p>
<p>For the Indian market, Honda Cars India has already announced to introduce a wholly new alternative energy vehicle lineup. Thus, the Honda FCVs are expected to make their way to India as well.</p>
<p>The Honda Clarity FCV’s previous model was the first of its kind hydrogen powered fuel cell vehicle and in its new avatar the sedan has become all the more advanced and proficient. The Honda Clarity’s pricing has also witnessed considerable reduction and it should be more widely adopted this time around.</p>
<p>The hydrogen powered fuel cell vehicles are thought to be the best green technology till date which is supposed to take over the world’s auto industry in the future. This technology is a highly researched on to make it more cost effective and thus more acceptable in the mass market.</p>

<p>An esteemed business portal Nikkei business has announced about the extent to which the government is pushing the benefits of self-drive car technology. According to a statement given by Nikkei business daily, the government will invite reputed auto firms such as Honda, Nissan, Toyota, Hitachi and Panasonic, to a meeting to discuss the strategies and resources needed to push self-driven car technology. Prestigious institutions such as Nagoya University and University of Tokyo will also be involved in the role of handling data analysis. Prime Minister, Shinzo Abe will discuss the various theories on the project and also an effectual growth plan strategy and everything will be finalized by June.</p>
<p>It is a huge challenge to build a self-driven car, a totally unexplored area, and it involves a new line of space-age thinking. Honda along with Nissan and Toyota has formatted an initial strategy to develop the technology. The first plan on hand is to standardize software for sensors and self-navigation, and the systems will aid in detecting obstacles while driving, and the economical factor here is reduction in production and development costs.</p>
<p>Companies are constructing novel communication technology links, to protect occupants from the harshness of unwanted accidents. Public enterprises will aid in infrastructure development and the communication system is going to be highly efficient and robust, through which information on accident and traffic is transmitted. Public and private sectors will but down an investment of 10 billion yen which is $84 million.</p>

<p>Honda has churned best sellers in FY14, during the period, the profit turnover increased by over two fold with a gain of Rs 1,109.7 crore, against the earlier period of Rs 479 crore. The data was provided by Registrar of Companies. In terms of accumulated gains, the loss value in FY14 is Rs 1,846.6 crore, against Rs 1,368.9 crore acquired a year ago. The increase in net sales during the period is 94.4% and the profit generated was a whooping Rs 8,826.7 crore contrary to Rs 4, 1541.6 crore noted the previous year.</p>
<p>The period of FY14 was creditable for Honda, with two massive hits, the all new City and entry level Amaze sedan. The two cars alone have enabled Honda to enhance its market share by double the volume, which now stands at 5.8% against 3% recorded in FY13. ‘’It is Honda’s innovative launch strategy that enabled it to reap admirable benefits’’ said, auto analyst of CIMB, Pramod Amthe.</p>
<p>Honda has achieved great milestones on the back of a couple of products, and the product drive emphasis is not on the company’s achievement to reach breakeven records, but it’s power to sustain growth and continue to build profit blocks. Although the company has achieved milestones under pressurized economy status, there is still lot of product planning to work on. The auto market is getting intensely competitive by the minute, visible on the overload of product launches in 2014.</p>
<p>Honda rocked the annual domestic sale charts, the highest of any auto firm, with 134,339 units in 2013 to 14 financial year. The overall year on year growth income is 83%. The company stressed on the fact that it was the new City and Amaze that drove milestone sales. As mentioned earlier Honda’s first taste of profit in 2013-14 FY began with Amaze, it was an instant best seller, a new diesel venture risk turned out to be fruitful.</p>
<p>Amaze has been a best seller since inception, and its profit driving features were trendy compact sedan body, super comfy, spacious and vibrant interiors. The major selling characteristic is the best-in-segment 25.8kmpl mileage generated by the revolutionary 1.5 liter i-DTEC diesel engine. Fuelled by the success of Amaze, Honda used the same i-DTEC diesel power train technology into the all new City that launched in early 2014. The car is engineered with world class 26kmpl mileage and sports an innovative ‘Exciting H Design’ technology.</p>

Maruti Suzuki during the FY13 to FY15 period had vast control of 44% market gains and Hyundai 17%. If Honda’s profit portfolio is on the pattern of Maruti Suzuki and Hyundai, the extent of business profit drive is remarkable.</p>
<p>Sources have termed Honda’s marvelous profit outcome under grave economy crisis‘resurgence’. To tide over the rough period, the company emphasized on a couple of strategies, innovation and quality. It was the best-in-segment 25.8kmpl mileage power and new i-DTEC diesel engine technology that drew customer attention months before launch. It was an instant best-seller; Honda then used the same i-DTEC engine technique into the all-new City and garnished it with novel Exciting H Design technology. It too is a blockbuster product, the recently launched Mobilio also runs on i-DTEC engine and its fuel-efficiency value is an admirable 24.4kmpl.</p>
<p>According to the latest car reports Honda is working on a refreshed Accord and Civic along with new Jazz. Honda has emerged jubilant from nowhere.</p>

<p>Amaze was Honda’s first venture into the compact sedan market in India; it was also the company’s debut diesel project in the country. It launched in 2013 April, and portrays a typical family car image, with a chick body and roomy interiors. It runs on a revolutionary 1.5 liter diesel i-DTEC technology and generates a best-in-segment 25.8kmpl mileage and sold at price of Rs 5 to 7.5 lakhs.  It is an instant blockbuster hit, the company recently rolled out its 1,00,000<sup>th</sup> Amaze product.</p>
<p>The newest Honda craze is Mobilio MPV; it is the company’s first MPV venture in India. It arrived during the end phase of July and the demand for the car is over the top. In just a month post launch, the company sold 5,530 units in August. In matter of just two months, the booking volumes have touched over 20000 units.</p>
<p>Honda launched the all new City in early 2014 and it too is an instant hit, it is a progression of the current City. The company has styled the car with a novel Exciting-H design technology and is covered with unbeatable luxury glaze. The interior room is vast, and the equipments are advanced, the seats are super comfy with armrests and ample storage amenities. From the time of inception till now, more than 50,000 units of City are booked. The company has stalled the production of the car lately, owing to new factory developments with the creation of a new Tapukara unit. The second shift will commence in November and the desired manufacturing capacity output is 180,000 to 240,000 units.</p>
<p>Honda has confirmed of its plan to strengthen dealership network, it is forced to do so, with so much demand and profits happening rapidly in a short span of time. Honda Cars India has stated of its vision to launch 170 units in 107 cities and increase its dealership outlet figure to 230 units and plans to achieve it in the current fiscal year itself.</p>
<p>Honda Cars India has maintained a firm profit record all through the struggling economy. It emerged victorious when many other esteemed auto firms struggled to cross the desired profit mark. The cost-effective strategy has worked wonders for the firm; the company is keen to bring back its lost luxury sheen with the launch of new Jazz. It will re-surface with superior styling and value, the expected price range is Rs 4.7 to 7.5 lakhs. There is going to be a new Accord launch as well. The new posh Vezel SUV is a massive launch in global market and Honda has not hinted of its arrival in India.</p>
<p>The company has to tackle huge demand from current range of products and make room for new pieces.</p>

<p>To cater to the needs of Indian population, Honda is targeting various economic sects from different revenue backgrounds. Brio will fall into the SEC-A category where the earning capacity is between Rs 50,000 and Rs 75,000. The recently launched Mobilio MPV along with Honda City and Amaze will capture the upper level SEC-A market. The earning power in this category is Rs 75,000 to 1, 50,000 per year.</p>
<p>The car diversity level in India is huge because of the variation in income groups. Car makers are not overly confident on immediate sales, mainly because of the extent of loan payment. Just like auto market, the price distribution of house schemes is vast. If consumers invest huge amounts on a house or apartment then the loan payoff amount is significant and there is little scope to buy cars. The buying trend will become more flexible when the current working population and future generation spend on vehicles ahead of homes.</p>
<p>The major car purchasing hindrance trigger is hectic work load caused by industrial expansion. People in today’s world are not ready to settle before 35 and the younger lot is mobile to the core, they travel in between cities to complete assignments or discuss new business plans. Most work places don’t have proper infrastructure, if then becomes a burden to drive around with little or no room for parking.</p>
<p>The increase in rural population over the cities in the past few years has hurt car sales. The urban section is now a minority; the overpowering is so robust that by 2030 about 60% of 300 million working professionals will be rural migrants. Their average salaries are not feasible enough for car buying, they will hence opt for bikes. With all the challenges the Indian auto market is facing, Honda has managed to capture 5% market share from the movement of 2.5 million passenger vehicles. The segment has gone through a rough phase with 6% dip in market share in last financial year.</p>
<p>Honda has made spectacular 75% gains in 2014 June, on the back of two stellar launches Amaze and new Honda City. Both cars offer the required comfort, safety, mileage and engine power required in todays hectic and relatively unsafe world. Honda’s engineering power is world class, the company has emerged with novel engineering technique called ‘Man Maximum Machine Minimum, it will be used in new Jazz and Vezel. The company has emphasized a lot on localisation to cut costs, about 90% of its vehicles are localised.</p>
<p>Honda had faced its share of problems earlier, in 2005 a massive labour unrest broke in and it took four years to attain normalcy. In 2010 Honda shifted base to diesel and small vehicles, the strategy did not work too well in FY 2010 to 11 and in FY 2011-12 the firm sold 54,427 pieces. Analysts were concerned on Honda’s profit revival, the company then invested rapidly on B segment vehicles, and launched Brio hatch in 2012. From then on Honda was on a profit roll seen in whole of 2013 till now with launch of Amaze and new City.</p>

<p>This new affordable small car from Honda India came into news earlier this year, when it was just being considered by the company. The new entry level car from Honda will be scheduled for 2017 launch. Codenamed as the ‘World A Entry Car’, this new Honda car will primarily be an India specific car, but it could also be offered in the markets such as Indonesia and Africa post the cars’ India launch.</p>
<p>The new Honda small car will be a mini hatchback which will very affordable and will be cheaper even than the Honda Brio compact hatchback, which is by far the cheapest Honda car available in the market. The new car will be positioned below the Brio, and is expected to be priced below the Rs. 4 lakhs slab. This new car will also be based on the popular Honda Brio platform like the Amaze and the recently launched Mobilio MPV.</p>
<p>On the other hand, Honda India is also working on a new compact SUV, yet again based on the versatile Brio platform in order to tap the very potential and immensely popular compact SUV segment in India. The new Brio based Honda mini SUV is being prepared to rival the very popular compact SUV models such as the Ford EcoSport and a slew of many other upcoming compact SUVs including the Volkswagen Taigun and the Maruti Suzuki XA-Alpha.</p>
<p>The reports also say that a part of the development process of these new Honda cars will be carried out by the R&amp;D center of Honda Cars India in order to increase the localization levels and thereby keeping the developments costs low to be able to price the vehicles very attractively for the Indian car market. Nevertheless, Honda Motors Japan will be primarily leading the development process for both these upcoming cars as happens with all Honda cars.</p>
<p>Both the new cars, i.e., the mini car and the baby SUV are expected to hit the Indian car market in the year 2017. As both the upcoming car models belong to the two very lucrative segments, these are also expected to significantly boost the sales volumes for Honda Cars India and increase the carmaker’s market share in the Indian auto industry.</p>
<p>Post its market launch in India, the new upcoming Honda World A Entry will be competing with the Maruti Suzuki Wagon R, Hyundai i10 and the Chevrolet Beat. The Honda baby SUV will compete with the Ford EcoSport and the likes, and is expected to be priced around at Rs. 6 &#8211; 9 lakhs.</p>

<p>The company has taken risks that have paid off; Amaze is the company’s first diesel venture. It comes in a desirable package filled with world class 25.8kmpl mileage along with robust iDTEC and iVTEC engines. Amaze also comes with vast interior room and comfort. The month long profits has given Honda a whole new rhythm, it is now geared to take the top three position in Indian auto industry, and has the resources to become the third biggest auto manufacturer.</p>
<p>If Honda reaches the third position it will overtake Mahindra, although Honda’s profits are higher than Mahindra’s, it is a hurdle to reach the third spot. Mahindra has sold more vehicles in the month with 16,780 units and Honda gave out 16,316 units in June. Honda has an upcoming threat called Mobilio MPV that could change Mahindra’s profit portfolio. It too is a risk, it is Honda’s first ever MPV project for Indian markets.</p>
<p>Honda is confident of maintaining its profit momentum, and says that it can maintain the level of sustainability.  Honda vehicles are recognized for its unbeatable sheen, power and comfort, the company has not worked up to its potential in the past. The major hindering factor is cost, the dazzling Jazz came with an unbearable price.</p>
<p>To combat its unworthy costs, Honda built a new research and development unit, the goal was to work towards lower costs. The company formatted all possible strategies to achieve this by collaborating with local suppliers and vendors. Honda wanted to draw inspiration from Maruti Suzuki and Hyundai in terms of producing a product that sparkles and valuable.</p>
<p>The instant success of Amaze over the months has enabled Honda to launch the all new City. It is an evolution of the past draped with the cutting-edge ‘Exciting H design’ technology. It is equipped with iDTEC and iVTEC engines, and offers a roaring mileage of 26kmpl. City and Amaze are major contributors towards the 75% gain mark.</p>
<p>Now the main question is whether Honda can easily grab the third spot, it is difficult to tell. Mahindra has competitive forthcoming launches the new Scorpio facelift is an evolutionary car and will come in an all round modern package. The other upcoming products are S101 built on joint collaboration basis with Ssangyong and 2016 Bolero which will also come in a modern avatar. What is even more interesting is Mahindra has already worked out its one model launch strategy till 2014. It certainly knows its level of threat.</p>
<p>Honda’s new Mobilio MPV all set to arrive on the 23<sup>rd</sup> of July, is a menace to its competition. It is surely a hard one to beat; the company also plans to re-introduce the Jazz at a valuable price. There are speculations that Honda might launch a refreshed Civic car. It will be interesting to see what happens.</p>

<p>The profit image of Honda was not too visible in the past, although Honda vehicles are covered with a glossy shine. Cost was the hindering factor; there were few buyers for Jazz, the costliest hatch that costs Rs 7 lakhs. To fight over the weak market Honda has used the affordability formula visible in Amaze and all new City.</p>
<p>The auto market has shown signs of revival lately visible in 2014 May where many more firms made profits compared to the previous months. The same trend has spilled over in June. Honda made massive profits in June with a spectacular 75% growth. Its third best auto position in India means it has overtaken Mahindra that has noted 3% loss.  Honda sold 16,316 vehicles while Mahindra sold 16,780 units. The profit yield is sufficient enough to maintain constant revenues said Jnaneswar Sen the senior vice president in marketing and sales division of Honda Cars India.</p>
<p>Honda has received great criticism with the price value of Jazz, and few years ago established a research and development unit. The initiative to set up the unit is to lower manufacture costs. In its new R and D unit Honda has worked on its goal to target local buyers to be on par with Hyundai and Maruti Suzuki.</p>
<p>Honda’s vision to bring down prices has worked wonders; the company has made significant monthly yields post the launch of Amaze. It is a sedan variant of Brio and sub four meter compact sedan. The desirable trait of the car lies in the vast interior room which is magical taking into account it is a compact vehicle from the outside. The car moves on a world class 25.8 kmpl mileage which is the best in its class. Honda has injected robust iDTEC and iVTEC engines engineered with the advanced ‘Earth Dreams technology.’</p>
<p>Honda has taken a risk with Amaze, it is the company’s first venture in diesel segment and it has worked wonders. The firm has used the same diesel formula into its all new City. The car too runs on iDTEC diesel and iVTEC petrol engine, and is incredibly fuel efficient and generates a mileage of 26kmpl. The all new City is the fourth generation model, and an evolution from the past, the specialty lies in all new Exciting H design technology.</p>
<p>Honda has made great profits with two vehicles Amaze and City; the company is all set to thrill the crowd with the launch of Mobilio MPV coming soon on the 23<sup>rd</sup> of July. It comes in an all round grand package and a threat to Maruti Suzuki Ertiga and Toyota Innova.</p>
