Automobile companies all over the globe are extracting the power of green vehicle technology, and Honda has created a pioneering innovation which is Fuel Cell Vehicle Concept (FCV). It was exhibited in grand style at the prestigious 2015 Geneva Motor Show, a Japanese launch is likely to happen in 2016, and the favourable destinations that follow are U.S and Europe.

Geneva Auto Show is among the most acclaimed events, and the 2015 event commenced on a grand note. For those interested, it is on till the 15th of March, and it is a great platform to view a spectacular range of cars and Honda FCV concept fits the bill. It is an exclusive launch and production of high-tech novelty.

The acceleration potential of FCV concept is remarkable, and covers a distance of about 480km on 33% fuel tank consumption. The charge process is swift, and it happens in just three to five minutes at 70MPa pressure. It is a five seat car, and the fact that it is going to arrive into the market next year is thrilling. The whole world will surely want 2016 to arrive as soon as possible, for the need to just dig into the very first hydrogen fuel powered vehicle Honda FCV.

Honda displayed the FCV concept at 2015 Detroit Auto Show, and the power density output is increased by 60%, and within just three minutes of fuel fill up the car can zoom through vast 300 miles distance. How amazing it would have been for the people present at 2015 Geneva Motor Show, who actually got an opportunity to view a futuristic FCV concept car. The attractiveness of the vehicle is contributed by shorter fender skirts, inventively styled LED running lights, and huge headlights.

The concept model displayed at the event looks spectacular and really futuristic varied from other conventional cars. On the front are huge imaginatively sculpted bonnet, and the headlights and grille merge into each other. The side cuts highlight the space age character of the car. View the car from the side and it is totally awe-inspiring and here too there is a neat cut, and the flow of the roof line is amazingly smooth and the windows are garnished with dark tints and the structure of the wheel arch is also extraordinarily one of a kind. The roof line extends to almost the last section of the boot.

Have a glimpse of the rear and it too is amazingly contemporary and here also the tail lights blend in with the grille and it is a truly picturesque sight. The Honda FCV concept will launch in Japan in 2016 and how exhilarating would it be to side inside it, to explore a revolutionary product of the future era. For those who are eager to test drive and own the car will have to wait till next year, and if impactful, in the years that follow there will be many more hydrogen powered vehicles on the streets.

Honda is conquering the depths of hydrogen fuel cell technology with the construction of 2014 FCV concept car. The 2014 FCV concept car is developed from the second-gen FCX Clarity model scheduled to launch in early 2016. Hydrogen fuel cell is the latest steaming area of full-fledged research and development (R and D).

Honda says the FCV car is smaller than FCX by 33%, and is more powerful by 100kW, which implies 60% greater performance. It is intriguing to learn that the FCV car is smaller to FCX and the theory behind it is the creation of more usable space that can effectively accommodate five occupants. According to the company the higher space compartment will result in greater design depth power with intense hydrogen fuel insertion system. The principle behind the operation of hydrogen fuel cells is the chemical reaction that takes place between hydrogen and oxygen to generate electricity. The pioneering development lies in the zero emission technology and majority of the released gas is in the form of vapour.

The whole world is aware of the proficiency of hydrogen powered cars, because of the feasibility of generating a system that required the sourcing of hydrogen fuel cells. The reaction that takes place is the common system that has been known to mankind millions of years ago, where hydrogen and oxygen merge to form electricity that drives the car. It does appear to be a simple and practical concept, but what about the viability power? Honda is of the view that the availability of hydrogen gas is widespread and can be sources from a range of energy sources; it is a light element that is easily transportable and can also be effectively stored and within a single tank itself the car can cover a vast 700km range, and the refuelling procedure happens in 3 minutes.

Honda’s FCV hydrogen fuel cell is a revolutionary creation that is a reflection of a clean and green future. As mentioned earlier it is an improvement over FCX, the hydrogen filled engine is fitted beneath the bonnet or hood facilitating greater cabin room to seat five occupants, which is a marked improvement over FCX that could fit in four individuals. The earlier FCX car was engineered with the driveability potential of moving 483 kilometers within a three minute fuelling period, and the same time frame of FCV enables a 700km distance.

It will be interesting to view the move ability of Honda FCV on the streets; the company has the verve to dive into the deepest depth of hydrogen fuel cell technology and has even partnered with First Element Fuel to construct twelve hydrogen stations in California. The design structure of the car is stunning and resembles something that emerges out of thin air commonly seen in sci-fi movies. It’s got cutting-edge side ridges and a free flowing roof line, the interior view is displayed on the web as well, and clearly shows the enormous cabin room that seems never ending.

The 2014 Honda FCV car is fascinating beyond words and is surely a futuristic piece of engineering.

The first prototype of Honda’s fuel cell cars was launched in 1999 as a four door, four seater sedans with engine providing output of 80 horsepower powered with fuel cells. While the early fuel cells were made of proton exchange membrane the current fuel cells used in hybrid cars is energy efficient and uses both hydrogen gas and methanol fuel to power their engines. Honda’s fuel cell cars are called Honda FCX or Fuel Cell eXperimental cars. Limited numbers of this energy efficient car is available across United States and Japan. Till recently these cars were not mass produced due to limited demand and high cost of production which has changed due to rising fuel costs followed by greater interest in environment friendly vehicles. When demand for these environment friendly cars began during 2002, Honda sold them with fuel cell leases which was followed up and replaced with improved technology FCX Clarity.

The new fuel cell cars called FCEV have aerodynamic design to slice through air pressure and dice it swiftly while moving forward. This forward movement is assisted by aero optimized wheels. Honda’s engineers have been improving this technology over the years to manufacture concept laden vehicle with similar power and qualities of a fossil fuel vehicle. The Honda Motor Co will launch its new fuel cars by 2015 with fuel cell technology which will have zero emission. These FCEV car will be officially showcased in two Auto Shows simultaneously namely Los Angeles, US and Tokyo, Japan in November 2013 for creating awareness among prospective customers and auto enthusiasts. The colloquial FCEV stands for fuel-cell electric vehicle as these cells combine oxygen and hydrogen to make electricity which powers electric motor to propel the car. This car is environment friendly since it does not have any emission and only byproduct of this car is water. To make the safer for passengers Honda has installed its trademark Collision Mitigating Braking System which can alert drivers through both visual and audio alerts about potential collision.

Honda is launching its new fuel cell cars in Japan and US markets only since it faces little competition from local manufacturers and has already set up infrastructure for refueling in these markets. The sketch presented with official announcement from Honda about launch of their new fuel cell cars is abstract therefore motor enthusiasts are confused about actual body type and interiors of the new car. From details present about fuel cell technology and existing car models in Europe using this technique one can deduce that its engine components will include fuel cell stack and lithium-ion battery along with power drive unit and electric drive motor. This new generation FCEV car will be lighter due to team of compact coaxial motor and Vertical Flow fuel stack which provides more voltage stability while creating more space inside the car. Car designers have stated that this lightweight compact engine and battery stack will allow car to have lower floor and sleeker design which can accommodate more passengers. A lower floor with flat underbody will increase efficiency and power of engine as it will reduce aerodynamic drag of the car.

The most in-thing in the global auto industry is probably the Fuel Cell technology. There is really a great amount of enthusiasm, speculation and interest regarding this supposedly ultimate green technology to change the future mobility system. This technology is expected to turn the entire auto industry around and make it absolutely eco-friendly and efficient if and when it totally replaces the conventional cars running on fossil fuels. All the major global car makers like Toyota, BMW, Hyundai, Nissan, General Motors, etc. are busy working on this technology, getting rid of the major hindrances and produce their ultimate green cars.

The Japanese luxury car maker, Honda is definitely not behind and is gearing up to present its very own FCEV (Fuel Cell Electric Vehicle) concept at the upcoming Tokyo Motor Show. Honda obviously has big plans for the Tokyo auto show that begins on 20th of this month, and has a number of new models and concepts up its sleeves. The Japanese car major is expected to showcase the same at the Los Angeles Auto Show as well, which will simultaneously with the Tokyo Motor Show; however the company might have one exclusive concept for LA.

Honda’s FCEV concept will give the world’s audience a preview to the design language that the company is going to adopt for its new Fuel Cell Vehicle that is scheduled for its launch around 2015. The company obviously already has its own Fuel Cell vehicle in the form of the FCX Clarity which is offered in very few numbers through lease.

The senior vice president of the American wing of Honda Motor, Mike Accavitti said that the Honda FCEV Concept displays the company’s idea for the future personal mobility system and the company’s commitment to develop great performing advanced alternative fuel cars. He added by saying that as the company work towards the introduction of Honda’s next generation fuel cell vehicle in the year 2015, the company’s lengthy experience in the field of fuel-cell technology will help the company make its way towards a future mobility system which is totally emission free.

Honda does have a long experience in fuel cell technology as the company has been producing quality fuel cell cars by the introduction of the FCX back in the year 2002, which was followed by the launch of the FCX Clarity later. As per the company, the vehicle is given out on lease to around just 24, who are taking advantage of the superb green technological advancement that went into the making of the FCX Clarity. The FCX Clarity has been getting really favorable feedback from the customers and this car will serve as the base for the upcoming mass produced Honda FCEV.

Honda explains the FCEV’s design concept as really futuristic and sleek. The vehicle flaunts a design that is inspired by the wind or air going with its hydrogen power.

Thus, green car lovers will have a major gala both at the Tokyo and LA Motor shows, both of which begin on 20th November.

As a growing number of people become environmentally conscious and the global demand for green cars rises incredibly. Honda being a leading car company does not want to stay behind and finally joins the same band wagon as its renowned Japanese as well as other global rivals to work together towards the development of a better green commuting system.

Honda has decided to join its auto industry rivals and has signed up for the membership of the H2USA partnership that is committed to the development, infrastructure as well as the commercialization of the Fuel Cell Vehicles. The U.S Department of Energy program had started in the month of May, 2013 and it already has the joint collaboration from several global giants such as Toyota, Mercedes, Nissan and Hyundai among other manufacturers and government agencies as well as suppliers.

H2USA is a partnership between the public as well as private companies that is formed primarily to focus on the proper development of the hydrogen refueling infrastructure in order to really make the Fuel Cell Electric Vehicles (FCEV) actually convenient for the US consumers. The auto makers who have joined hands with the US energy department are going to work towards finding the best solutions to develop the proper hydrogen refueling infrastructure and also reduce the overall cost of the vehicles, apart from encouraging the adoption of Fuel Cell Electric Vehicles among the US car consumers.

Though in terms of sales numbers, the car did not receive a lot of attention, Honda was the first ever auto manufacturing company that had leased a modern fuel cell electric vehicle, named as the FCX Clarity to US car customers. Now that there would be huge wave of Hydrogen fueled vehicles that a lot of car giants are planning to launch by the year 2015, the H2USA program will support the development and growth of the hydrogen refueling network across the nation. Honda America’s vice president of environmental business development, Steven Center, in a company statement said that the H2USA joint venture will also focus and work to find solution for other hydrogen energy sources that will include natural gas as well as renewable energy.

Honda is yet another non-US auto maker which has signed up to become a member of the H2USA to help the growth and promote the Fuel Cell vehicles, but as of now none of the Detroit 3 has joined this partnership that will make the FCEVs feasible and successful.
The American auto major General Motors has just shown interest in the field of fuel cell electric vehicles through its project of Chevrolet Equinox fuel cell vehicle. A lot of people who had participated in the company’s research project’s drives have reportedly given a lot of positive feedbacks regarding the Fuel Cell research project of General Motors.

Honda is definitely on its way to join the massive competition that the global auto giants are preparing themselves with their respective FCEVs for the year 2015.
