Doctor survives fatal accident with Honda City

An unfortunate incident occurred with a neurosurgeon who is 38 on Sea Link, who was fortunate to miraculously survive an accident where the brakes of the Honda City stalled. The person was on the way to hospital to treat an emergency. He left his residence early at 7pm and reached sea link at 7.35am. The heavy rains were the main reason for him to slow down and were 100 meters away from the toll poll. The person tried to hit brakes to acquire to stop the car, and to his dismay the steering wheel and brakes were dysfunctional.

The person described the incident saying he tried to halt the car but could not and was shaken and had no idea what was happening. The option of getting out of the car was far shot due to heavy rains. The incident later turned ugly where the car ran at high speed and crashed into partition, rolled and then hit the wall of Sea Link. The safety equipments did not function either; air bags were not to be seen.

The person stated that he was lucky to survive without significant injuries, and to his luck there was no sight of vehicles at the rear. The whole incident could have been fatal. He said that he was astonished to show emotions. Doctors who treated him said they were dismayed with the company since there were three critical components that did not function such as air bags, steering wheel and brakes. The doctor said that complain has been registered on paper to Honda. This incident should be investigated. The person stated that not only should his car be repaired but, the company should compensate him for the hefty damage, and will take legal action for non functional components.

A representative of the company announced that there have been no complaints till date, and is unaware of adverse incidents such as these. Such incidents have not come to our notice and if so, we will act accordingly.

Incidences such as these are pretty alarming, where three essential components are non functional, the brakes, steering wheel and air bags. The company should fix such parts, it should not wait for unfortunate accidents to occur and then fix worn out segments. Most companies are catering to faulty brakes, which should be fixed.

Cars should undergo extensive testing before release into showrooms. The pouring rain was the primary hurdle for not being able to get required help. Such occurrences can be frightening, with the brakes and steering wheel coming to a halt. This incident is even more shocking since it happened with the City which is known to be a premium model of Honda since launch.

Luckily for the person, he survived which is an escape for the company as well; otherwise Honda would have had to pay a heavy price. This is an unusual incident and should be taken into consideration, Honda Cars should fix the worn out components of the City and ensure models to be released in the future are fully functional and incidences where three important components are dysfunctional should be avoided.
