The much awaited all new 2014 Honda City has finally launched in the Indian market. The fourth generation model of the City sedan has launched in the country with a starting price of Rs. 7.42 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). The Japanese luxury car maker made the world premiere of the all new City in Delhi on 25^th of November, 2013 after which the car opened for pre-bookings across the country. Now, the all new City has hit the Indian market for sale and its price list has been officially revealed.

The all new 2014 City has become bigger, more stunning with more premium interiors and has come along with its first time ever diesel version. The new City now flaunts a more stylish front fascia along with a new front grille, it car gets redesigned sporty bumpers as well as stylized headlights. While the new city has retained its overall dimensions, it has got increased wheelbase that translates in enhanced cabin space.

The 2014 City’s also flaunts very stylish and bold lines running on its sides that give it a sleeker look, hiding its increased bulk, while its great new alloy wheels make it more elegant. The new model also gets redesigned attractive tail lamps and a chrome garnish above the number plate to heighten the premium appeal.

The all new Honda City comes with an array of features as against its preceding models. The 2014 model includes push button start, rear A.C vents, steering wheel mounted audio controls, touch screen infotainment system, reverse parking camera, cruise control, premium leather seats and also the first in class touch screen climate control among many others. The sedan’s safety features includes dual front airbags, ABS with EBD, and the Honda’s passenger injury mitigation system.

The all new 2014 Honda City is being offered in six body color options and an interior color theme of black and beige combination.

Under the hood, the first time City diesel is powered by the popular Amaze’s 1.5 liter i-DTEC engine that delivers 98bhp of power and 200Nm of torque and offers the ARAI certified highest fuel efficiency of 26km per liter. The new City’s petrol variants are powered by the 1.5 liter i-VTEC engine, which delivers 119bhp of power and 145Nm of torque with a fuel efficiency of 18kmpl. The petrol engine has a choice of 5-speed manual and a CVT automatic transmission, while the diesel mill is coupled only to a 6-speed manual gearbox.

The all new 2014 Honda City is going to lock horns with the current segment leader Hyundai Verna, Skoda Rapid, Renault Scala, Volkswagen Vento and Nissan Sunny. Honda will commence the delivery of the diesel variants immediately while that of the petrol models will commence from the middle of next month.

The all new 2014 Honda City’s petrol variants have a range of Rs. 7.42 lakh to Rs. 10.98 lakh, while the diesel variants’ price range is Rs. 8.62 lakh to Rs. 11.10 lakh.

Honda CR V is a SUV which is one of my favourites and it is in the list of cars which I would love to be driven in. The spacious interiors of the Honda CR V gives you enough space to play golf inside it! And it is luxurious as well and of course, powerful too. These were the features which I liked about the Honda CR V.

Now, Honda has brought the new CR V which is just fantastic, again. It is said that the first impression is the last impression and what a first impression this huge SUV gives you is mesmerising! It looks big! And it is big! The new design of the Honda CR V has made me desire it more. It looks completely astonishing! It is totally different from all the SUVs currently cruising on the Indian roads. Its new sleek design is more futuristic. The new big stretched headlamps is a great replacement for the old small ones. The new front grille with chrome finishing and the Honda badge in the centre will scare the little hatch-ies (hatch backs). The huge bumper is so fashionably designed that it looks fantastic and does its job very well. It also features bright fog lamps to help you drive through tough roads. Phew! I could just keep babbling about it all day long!

The Honda CR V is available in two (petrol) engine options: 2.0 L and 2.4 L. The former is capable to generate a max power of 153 bhp at 6500 rpm and 190 Nm of peak torque at 4300 rpm while the latter gives out 187 bhp of max power at 7000 rpm and produces a massive pulling torque of 226 Nm at 4400 rpm. Both the engines are i-VTEC petrol engines of Honda. There is an option of automatic transmission to choose in the 2.0 L while the 2.4 L comes with the same as standard. Also, the 2.0 L variant is available in 2WD option only whereas the 2.4 L variant powers all the four wheels of this SUV.

The interiors of the Honda CR V is as amazing as the exteriors. In fact, you would get confused whether to watch it from the outside and praise its looks or to sit inside the opulent cabin and feel the luxury. The seats are extremely comfortable and the quality of materials used is top notch. The steering has a nice feel and has mounted illuminated controls. The powerful dual climate control system works wonders in all weather conditions. It provides a very soft and smooth ride of a sedan with the benefits of a SUV.

The Honda CR V is available at the price range of Rs 20.6 lacs to Rs 27 lacs (ex showroom New Delhi) which is a large sum of money. There are cars available of competitors like the Merc A Class & BMW 1 series in this range and this could be the strongest negative point of the CR V.

Honda Cars India Limited (HCIL) recently unveiled the new Honda City 2014. This car has been one of the most anticipated cars of the year and finally, Honda brought it out for everyone. The one reason for which it was so highly anticipated was the new model but the biggest point which kept everyone desperately waiting was the Diesel Engine Variant of the Honda City! Yes, Honda has finally launched a diesel variant of its successful sedan, the City!

The new Honda City diesel definitely looks more modern. Although, there are similarities between the new model and the previous one. This is the fourth generation of the Honda City. It was first launched in India in 1996 and since then it has evolved thrice. The new Honda City is pretty stylish. The front end has a new wider chrome plated grille with a Honda Badge in the middle. This adds to the aggressive nature of the car. The new bumper with the air vents looks pretty exciting as well and it also has incorporated fog lamps. Although, this is a new car but since it has evolved from its predecessor, it has got similarities. From a wider angle it looks very similar to the third generation Honda City. Anyway, let us put that aside. The new Honda City has got new alloy wheels which looks pretty cool. The rear end of the car has got new tail lamp. It is designed such that half of its portion is on the boot lid. Overall, the car feels nice and looks stunning.

The new Honda City diesel will have a 1.5 L i-DTEC diesel engine under its bonnet. It is the same unit which has been installed in the Honda Amaze (the first diesel car from Honda in India). The engine churns out a max power of 98 bhp at 3600 rpm and generates 200 Nm of peak torque at 1750 rpm. The engine is mated to a manual transmission. The petrol variant of the new Honda City is available in both manual as well as automatic transmission. We hope the diesel variant will too get an option of an automatic transmission.

The interiors of the new Honda City is very pleasing. There has been use of glossy material on the dash board which is a new thing. Moreover, the climate control system does not have buttons rather it is fully touch. Also, the instrument cluster is nicely designed and illuminated to allow clear readability of the figures. There are rings on the circumference of the dials which changes colour according to the way you drive the car. The rear air con vents and armrest are some more features in the list.

There has been no details from the company regarding the pricing of the new Honda City. But it is being anticipated that the diesel variant of the car will be price in the range of Rs 7-11 lacs. The new Honda City will be competing against Skoda Rapid, Volkswagen Vento, Ford Fiesta and the top most rival Hyundai Verna.

Japanese luxury car major Honda has started its motorcycle business in Bangladesh. Honda has a motorcycle business partnership in Bangladesh, which goes by the name Bangladesh Honda Private Limited, and the company has started selling motorcycle models from the house of Honda in Bangladesh from 27^th of December. Earlier this year before the commencement of motorcycle sales in the country, Bangladesh Honda Private Limited commenced the localized production of the motorcycle model CD80 in the month of October. The locally produced as well as the imported Honda motorcycle models will be sold by the official Honda motorcycle dealers in Bangladesh.

Bangladesh Honda Private Limited has recently set up two official Honda motorcycle dealers, one of which is located in Tangail, while the other is situated at Jamalpur. The company commenced the sale of six motorcycle models in Bangladesh on 27^th of this month, through the authorized dealers. These six models also include the locally manufactured CD80 as well as the Dream Neo, which is imported from Honda’s Motorcycle business unit in India.

Apart from the sales of the Honda motorcycles, Bangladesh Honda Private Limited will be also offering an extensive range of services that include the sale of spare parts, after sales services and regular maintenance of the motorcycles in order to cater to the various requirements of the Honda motorcycle consumers in Bangladesh. Honda also has plans to increase the dealership network in Bangladesh with the opening of several other new outlets soon enough. The company wishes to expand its footprint in the motorcycle industry of Bangladesh by offering various other new Honda motorcycle models via the newly set up Honda dealers in the future.

This monster has a 3471cc engine which roars out 275 PS of immense power and a mind blowing 339 Nm of peak torque! Now I am sure that these figures will definitely fulfil your needs as 0-60 kph is dealt in just 4.75 seconds and 0-100 kph in 9.39 seconds! And flat footed, this goes to a claimed top speed of 214 kph!

A car with that much of power needs excellent stopping power. The Honda Accord is equipped with disc brakes on all four wheels assisted by the EBD and ABS. It has 6 air bags for the safety of the occupants. The 215/60 R16 size tyres put on alloy wheels gives great grip. It sticks to the tarmac at the corners and on the highway it is a charm to drive.

When it comes to the looks it is simply astonishing. As I said earlier, it is one of the best looking sedans currently available in India. The front end has a pair of large sexy headlights and the long front grille, gives it a more masculine look and at the same time it tells you that it is humble and soft from the inside. The bumper sits in perfectly and has incorporated fog lamps to brighten up your paths. The interiors of the car is extremely luxurious and spacious. The seats are very comfortable and the driving position is fabulous. The atmosphere in the cabin is marvellous and the sun roof just adds to the quality of the car. Every material used is of top notch quality and the fit and finishing is flawless. There are thousands of features which you will get in this car.

The Honda Accord MT will cost you around Rs 20.45 lacs (ex showroom price Delhi) while for the automatic variant you’d have to spend around Rs 65,000/- more. The V6 variant of the Honda Accord is priced at Rs 27.38 lacs (ex showroom price Delhi) which is extremely fun to drive but it is very expensive, even for the features and figures it provides.

Honda has gathered a lot of heat and glances for its Civic; the compact and swift design of this sedan made it popular among users. But now this coupe is coming with new and fresh design in the year 2014. The company has made big promises regarding the new and innovative changes in the Honda Civic. The car has got the European look with headlights and grille squeezed in a narrow band giving it a sporty look. The dull look will be replaced by the refreshing design.

The new design will be offered with new styles and new characteristics like push button to start, Lane Watch technology which is unique by Honda and for better entertainment new multimedia system is given that offers capacitive touch technology.

The exteriors of the car are aggressive but it’s difficult to compare whether it’s better than the previous one. Honda keeps changing the styling elements of the cars without making any considerable changes. The Honda’s grille, front bumper, headlights and guards are different but not better; they are just fresher than the previous ones. If we look at the front end it does look like a European Civic hatchback however the rest of the features are totally different. Visually, this sedan is unchanged from the current model.

Coming to the inside, the big change offered by Civic is the introduction of new 7 inch Display Audio capacitive touchscreen in EX, EX-L and Si model’s audio system. Honda has given a statement that the screen provided inside is like an iPhone, with a pinch you can zoom and you can swipe screen from left to right.

However, there are loads of things that have been replaced by touch buttons. The entire multimedia system is touch oriented; the controls of audio system are replaced with touch-sensitive buttons. The knob for controlling volume has been replaced by a touch sensitive switch.

One more additional development in Honda’s 2014 Civic is its LaneWatch technology. Before this, the technology was available in Accord only; it’s a system that detects a blind spot with the help of camera on the right side mirror which gives a view of the blind spot on the screen whenever the driver gives the right hand signal.  This technology is not introduced in all the models, but just EX and Si models.

When it comes to power, the Honda Civic is one of the best power delivering sedans. It has 1.8 litres of four cylinder engines which is mated with 5 speed auto to perform dynamically.

Overall, the new 2014 model is not totally different from the coming model the next year. The interiors are not that appealing but exteriors looks promising and the company has done a lot of work on it trying to keep it fresh and lively. The new Honda Civic will come up with more classy features and rich look. Honda has made no compromise with comfort as well. The car is so designed that it indicates the style and features it provides you are more than expected and are totally worth it.

Japanese carmaker Honda has its hands full with the hot-selling Amaze diesel. However, the carmaker is on a robust comeback drive and has officially announced that it will be launching three exciting new car models in the Indian market by the end of the year 2014. At the recently held Tokyo Motor Show, Honda exhibited the Mobilio MPV, an Indian-specific car, the Jazz/Fit, brand new Vezel compact SUV, apart from several other cars. Within a week after the wrap up of the Tokyo Motor Show, Honda unveiled the new City sedan.

New Honda City

The new Honda City sedan was unveiled by Honda on 26^th November this year. The new City boasts of new and more features, additional space, enhanced quality and very significantly, a robust engine. The petrol version of the new City gets the same 1.5-litre i-VTEC power train like the outgoing one. The diesel version of the new City borrows its engine from Amaze’s 1.5-litre i-DTEC engine. The new Honda City sedan will be available for sale from 2014 January and it is expected to be priced faintly higher than the outgoing version. The new diesel versions of the new City sedan would likely be priced nearly Rs. 1 lakh more as compared to the corresponding petrol variant. It is expected that the new City sedan will be priced between Rs.8.5 and Rs. 11.5 lakhs.

Honda Mobilio

Honda Mobilio will be the Japanese automaker’s first ever MPV for India. Though not much information is available about its specs, if the pre-production information is anything to go by, then the Mobilio packs in enough to create a revolution of sorts in the Indian market.  The Mobilio MPV will be based on the hatchback Brio’s platform and will be produced at the carmaker’s new production plant located in Tapukara. The Mobilio will be manufactured alongside the brand new Jazz. The Mobilio is expected to pack in a lot of local content that will bring down its price considerably and make it a lot more competitive in the price-conscious Indian market. With the Mobilio, one can easily expect high levels of refinement finish and fit.

The Honda Mobilio will be sold in diesel as well as petrol versions. While the petrol version will be powered from the same engine as that of the City or the Brio, the diesel version of the Mobilio is will be powered by the City or Amaze’s engine. Honda plans to launch the Mobilio MPV after launching the new City sedan.

Honda Vezel

Honda is quite aware that the Indian automobile market is brimming with compact SUVs as this has emerged as a hot segment in the recent times. The Renault Duster and Ford EcoSport have already established the dominance of the compact SUV segment in India. Naturally, Honda plans to make the most of it and is likely to launch a mini CR-V looking car, called as Vezel. The Vezel is essentially a production edition of the Urban SUV concept of Honda.

Japanese automakers had announced the pricing details for the 2014 Odyssey. The Odyssey is a brilliantly designed minivan by Honda and received a full-blown makeover and it was first unveiled at the 2013 New York auto show. The latest edition of this minivan will likely be launched in the market in the month of July in 2014. The 2014 Honda Odyssey comes with a starting price of 28, 825 dollars and this is exclusive of tax and other expenses.

For all those who have not seen the 2014 Honda Odyssey, the latest model sports new and exciting styling and is equipped with an infotainment system that supports seamless Bluetooth connectivity for the very first time. This new vehicle from Honda also sports a widened view driver’s mirror, standard Pandora interface and a 4-way power passenger seat across all the models. The new Odyssey will be sold in five exciting trims. These range from the base model of the LX, apart from EX-L, EX and the top trims of the Touring Elite model and the EX-L trim. The highest trim carries a price tag of 44, 450 dollars.

Talking about the technical specifications of the new Odyssey, the new model will be powered by the same 3.5-liter V6 engine that produces a peak power output of 248 bhp and churns a maximum torque of 250 pound feet. The Japanese car manufacturer claims that the 2014 Odyssey is equipped with advanced technical updates that ensure that this stylish minivan provides class-leading fuel mileage, across all its trims. The engine of the 2014 Odyssey is linked to a six-speed automatic transmission gearbox system which is standard on all the five trims of the 2014 Odyssey.

The Touring Elite is the top, high-end trim of the 2014 Odyssey. This trim model boasts of some cutting-edge safety and comfort features. The most striking of the new and exciting features is the Touring Elite’s in-vehicle vacuum cleaning system. The new 2014 Odyssey is the first minivan that comes with a dedicated vacuum cleaner which is labeled as HondaVAC. The Honda VAC vacuum cleaner functions of the vehicle’s 12-volt electrical system.  This handy and compact vacuum cleaning system is comfortably tucked at the rear of the car.

Indeed, the Honda VAC vacuum cleaner seen in the 2014 Odyssey has been creating a lot of news ever since it was first announced. The 2014 Odyssey already created a lot of buzz when it was debuted along with the innovative in-car vacuum cleaner. The Honda VAC is also a very pricey accessory and thus, Honda rightly provides it in the top end trim model, the Touring Elite.

The new 2014 Odyssey boasts of a certified fuel mileage of 19 mpg on city roads while on highways, it offers an impressive fuel mileage of 28 mpg. The fuel mileage remains standard in all the five trim models as opposed to the outgoing model, where just the top two models featured 6-speed gearbox system  which made the lower –end model deliver faintly lower fuel mileage.
