It’s the ultimate war of the premium sedans. The contenders are the two ultimate sedans the Honda Civic and the Volkswagen Jetta. Let’s get to know these cars in details.

 

Honda civic is a sporty looking and stylish sedan. The front of the car is designed with smoky headlights, the metallic front grille has a centrally positioned Honda logo; and the front lower grille is situated at the center while both the ends have a fog lamp. The side profile if the car has a body color door handles in the base model only while there are chrome finished in the higher end variants. The door protectors are also in body color in the base and chrome colored in the higher end models. The door glasses and the windshields have a green tint to them. Volkswagen Jetta has a signature and classy front radiator grille with the company’s logo placed in it. The colored bumpers including the black finish trim on the side windows gives it an elegant look to the Jetta. The door handles and mirrors with twin signals add more style to the Jetta. It has twin halogen headlamps to it which provides good visibility in the dark, it has a 16 inch alloy wheels to it. There are new exteriors rear view mirrors to Jetta.

Honda civic is powered by a 1.8 litre, 1799cc, and has i-VTEC, 4 cylinder, petrol engine to it that generates 132 Ps of maximum power at 6300 rpm and 17.5 kgm of Torque at 4300 rpm. Honda offers option of both manual and automatic gearbox for the Civic and one can choose anyone of them according to their requirement. The automatic gearbox can be fun while driving in city or on the highways reduces mileage and also adds weight while the MT version ensures higher fuel efficiency along with high engine performance.

Volkswagen Jetta is powered by a highly powerful diesel engine which produces 140 PS of maximum power at 4200 rpm and 320 Nm of maximum Torque at 1750-2000 rpm. Jetta has a 6 Speed Manual Gearbox whereas the new Volkswagen Jetta 2.0L TDI Highline has been packed with a 6 Speed Automatic DSG Gearbox.

Both these high end sedans are meant for power and speed along with a comfortable ride. The Civic is a legendary car from the Honda stable and it looks far better than the Jetta.
