Honda CR-V has been in the market for quite some time from now and Renault has recently launched Duster. Although Honda CR V is a very costly SUV but still the Duster has some features which can attract the attention of many. Let us explore these cars in detail.
Outer appearance
Honda CR-V appears to be a tough SUV and also looks stylish and aggressive. The front has a very bold grille with the Honda badge at the centre. The front bumper has integrated fog lamps which are oval shaped which helps the driver to get better view even at rough weather conditions. The four headlamps have halogen and these blends with the grille very nicely. The car has an electronically powered sunroof which helps the entry of the natural light to come into the car during the daytime. The OVRMs are body coloured and are integrated with the turn indicators. The door handles also come in body colour. The rear has an elongated ensemble of till lamps and the curves make it look muscular.
Renault has built its Duster on Logan platform. This car comes under the D-segment category. The car flaunts a wide chrome three slated grille on which the logo of Renault has been placed. Due to the safety reasons, claddings have been provided to the car from all around. Duster has roof rails, skid plate, side skirt etc along with a high ground clearance and the alloy wheels which have been added to the car. A pair of optical headlamps rests at its front and the bumpers are sleek and also body coloured. The car has a roof antenna.
Inner feel and comfort
Honda CR-V comfortably accommodates five passengers at a time. When we look at the interior, we may understand that Honda has kept utmost care regarding the comfort of its customers. The interior has been coloured in shades of ivory and black with leather upholstery. The leg space is genuine and the car also has decent boot space. The three spoke steering wheel can be tilted and is telescopic. The car also has advanced audio system. The seats of the driver and the passengers can be adjusted in 8 ways thereby ensuring the comfort. The wooden panel in the car enhances the up-market feel inside. The LCD screen behind the power steering gives the driver all the details which are required.
The interior of Duster has also been inspired from that of the Logan. It can accommodate five passengers at a time. The dashboard is curvy as well as sporty. The car has a three spoke steering which is electronically powered too. The AC vents can be closed completely which is a remarkable feature of the car and also the vents are quite shiny. The instrument cluster of this car has been provided with a semi hood and the glove box is quite large.
Engine specifications
Honda CR-V is powered by 2.4 litre of i-VTEC petrol engine which can produce a maximum power of 161bhp @ 5800rpm and a maximum torque of 218Nm @ 4200rpm. The Renault however, comes in a diesel engine of 1461cc common rail direct engine that delivers a maximum power of 83.8 bhp to all its variants.
Acknowledging the above features it would not be wrong to say that Honda CR-V is more compatible than Renault Duster.
