There is good news for the Nepali car consumers, as the compact sedan that has been amazing the populace of India recently, is now all set to hit Nepal. Syakar Trading Company, the sole authorized distributor of Honda cars in Nepal is going to launch the new Honda Amaze on 24th of June, 2013.
According to Syakar, the Honda Amaze will be initially introduced to the Nepali car market in only one model of SMT.
The Honda Amaze will be launched to lock horns with the other popular sedans in Nepal, Like the Maruti Suzuki Swift Dzire, Volkswagen Vento, Skoda Rapid, Kia Rio, etc.
The manager of Honda cars at Syakar, Lomus Manandhar said that the company is all set to launch the Amaze in the Nepal. Prior its launch, the company was receiving several queries from the potential buyers that show the craze of the Honda Amaze. The sedan has innumerable great features that will cater to the demands of entry level sedan consumers.

The Honda Amaze compact sedan is driven by the EXMT i-VTEC four-cylinder 1,198 cc petrol motor. The engine can churn out a maximum power of 86 bhp and a peak torque of 109 nm. The engine transmits the power to the wheels of the car through a five speed manual greabox.
Manandhar said that the Amaze, which is manufactured at the Honda manufacturing facility located in India, had been experiencing really warm response from the Indian car consumers from the moment it launched, and that the Japanese company expects a similar stance in Nepal as well.
He added that apart from the competitive pricing of the car, the consumers will have an advantage of easy availability of spare parts at affordable prices as well. These reasons should also drive the Amaze’s sales. The company has a sales target of 25 to 30 units per month.
Honda has equipped the Amaze with a McPherson Strut front suspension and Torsion Beam rear suspension to offer a great driving experience. The car also has several world-class features, such as a collapsible electric power steering, manual air conditioning, power window, etc. The car’s safety features includes central locking, child safety lock and engine immobilizer with the only safety deficiency that lies in the lack of air bags.
Manandhar further adds that the Honda Amaze offers a good fuel efficiency of 18 km per liter and this mileage has been certified by the Automotive Research Association of India (ARAI).
The Honda Amaze is fitted with tubeless tyres, and offers a superior boot space of 400 liters and a fuel tank capacity of 35 liters.
The Honda Amaze also offers great entertainment system including two speakers USB and auxiliary compatible music system and a din dash integrated music player.
Syakar also revealed that the Amaze will be available in 6 body colors of majestic blue, urban titanium metallic, carnelian red, alabaster silver, crystal black pearl and taffeta white. In the Nepali market, the vehicle will be tagged at Rs. 2.8 million.
