Next-gen Honda Civic Type-R teased prior unveiling at 2014 Geneva Motor Show

The very exciting Geneva Motor Show is fast approaching and all the auto makers are busy preparing for the gala show. The Japanese car giant, Honda Motor is also busy with the same. Honda has teased a picture of the Civic Type-R concept prior to the concept’s world premiere at the 2014 Geneva International Motor Show. The car maker will also display its Fuel Cell Electric Vehicle Concept at the event along with the mechanical specification details of the new NSX as well as the new 2014 Civic World Touring Championship race car.

The Honda Civic Type-R is currently powered by the 2.0 liter 4 cylinder engine that has the capability to churn out 200PS of max power and 192Nm of peak torque. The great car weighs only 1338kg, and is claimed to be able to cross 100 km per hour speed level from a standstill in a matter of just 6.4 seconds. The powerful engine’s generated power is transmitted to the vehicle’s front wheels through a 6 speed transmission gearbox. It is certainly expected that Honda will offer much more and the new generation model of the Civic Type-R will be even faster and more powerful compared against the currently offered model.

As per Honda, the next-generation Civic Type R will be providing the design language of the company’s future car models. The vehicle’s much awaited production version is expected to debut in the year 2015.

The exterior design language of the next gen Civic Type R is going to be very dashing and head turning. The design team of the Japanese car maker has termed the car as the ‘racing car for the road,’ thus it is apparent that the car is going to be styled much like a race car with full fledged sports car look.

The next gen Civic Type R is going to charm the audience with its ultra cool designing with sharp and smooth design elements combination. The teased image is meant to grab more attention towards the designing of this car prior to its unveiling. The upcoming model of the Civic Type R has a proper swanky styling with very bold looks meant to sweep the onlookers off their feet. The car looks every bit of a stunner with immensely superb styling features that exudes style, premium quality and great on-road performance. All these great features are already a part of the Type R’s current fame, and Honda is certainly trying to built up on that reputation and plus points of the vehicle.

Apart from the Civic Type R and the above mentioned vehicles, the Japanese car maker may also present some more concept cars in order to make the most of the 2014 Geneva Motor Show. Moreover, Honda’s Fuel Cell vehicle concept is also going to draw quite some attention to the Honda stall at the event. The fuel cell car from the house of Honda is one of its most important future launches and it is going to hit the market in 2015.
