The Indian car industry is a great competitive battle arena, where all the auto majors are always engaged in a duel to grab the attention of the customers. Considering the current market scenario when the Indian car market has yet to come out of the effects of the slowdown, all the major auto makers are busy announcing discounts and offers to get the consumers’ attention, Honda India has also joined the discount bandwagon.
The Japanese premium car maker is having a great time when positive growth is concerned in the Indian car Industry, and the car maker is ensuring greater favors from the consumers by announcing attractive price discounts on its very popular car models. Honda Cars India is offering discounts on the popular Brio hatchback and the very successful Amaze compact sedan.
The Honda advertisement that reveals the great price discounts on the Brio and Amaze has the caption that says ‘Great quality always pays off’. The caption rightly brings the customers attention to the high quality attributes of Honda, which is known for its high premium quality, reliability, comfortable and luxurious interiors, high resale value and pride of ownership.
Honda Cars India is currently offering its favored Brio hatchback at a starting price of Rs. 3,99,900 (Ex-showroom Delhi) for the base model. The Brio’s starting price was previously Rs. 4,18,550 and thus is now available in the market with a cash discounted of Rs. 18,650. This though has been possible because of the reduced Excise Duty benefits that were announced at the interim budget. The Brio is perhaps the first very popular Honda car in India that really appealed to the general price sensitive Indian public due to its high contemporary style and affordable pricing as against the usual steeply priced Honda cars. Honda has been churning out more and more competitively priced cars in India ever since.
On the other hand, the super successful Amaze which is still a bestselling car from Honda India is now being offered at a starting tag of Rs. 4,99,900 (Ex-showroom Delhi), compared against its earlier starting price of Rs. 5,20,500. This means that Honda is offering a cash discount of Rs. 20,600 on the car. This compact sedan based on the Brio’s platform is Honda’s first diesel model in India and is responsible for the company’s amazing growth rates ever since its market launch in April 2013.
The discounts offered by Honda India are currently available only at the official Honda dealership outlets located in Delhi and NCR. Honda is also offering exchange bonuses to the consumers via the car maker’s used car business that goes by the name Auto Terrance.
Most of the car manufacturers are offering heavy cash discounts after the revised car maker friendly excise duty charges. The cash discounts on the two Honda models thus might not be the most attractive discounts offered in the Indian market. However, any sort of benefits are welcome and for the Honda lovers, this is surely the right time to get their hands on a brand new Honda car.
