Honda launched the new City in India a couple of months ago, and is among the most anticipated launches in recent times. A new City launch is exciting, but the thrill factor with new City is beyond normal excitement, because it is not a progression of the earlier model, but a revolutionary one packed with advanced Exciting H Design technology. The car is on huge demand in international markets as well, and car enthusiasts have captured the car doing its testing rounds in Brazil.
Most people would believe that a test car is fully camouflaged; the new spy Honda City in Brazil was not covered at all. The captured image was spotted somewhere on the suburbs of Brazil. The fact that the car was shot in its original state is an indication that the launch is expected to happen soon. Brazil is an attractive market to push car sales, Honda and many other automobile firms are eyeing Brazilian markets for impressive sales.
The other anticipated launch in India is new Jazz or Fit hatchback, and in Brazil the new City will launch after the launch of new Jazz. The new City is the fourth gen model, and Honda launched the third generation model in Brazil way back in 2009. Honda prime production base in South America is Sumare region, which is on the countryside area of Sao Paulo.
An interesting fact about Brazil spec Honda City is the development is in the direction of an eco-friendly approach with the usage of ethanol as an alternative fuel. Ethanol is derived from sugarcane and alcoholic beverages, and the mechanical treatment is the same as Indian made model. The car will move with potent 1.5 liter engine that will move on ethanol, and will churn 114 hp highest power. The main goal of Honda with fourth gen Honda apart from injecting it with a novel design theme is to make it highly fuel efficient. The fourth-gen car is more fuel economical than its predecessor, and the mystery behind it is the fitment of seven speed CVT transmission gearbox.
Honda introduced the Indian spec car during the final periods of 2013, and is the first diesel project of Honda with City. The company’s debut diesel venture was with Honda Amaze, which came to the markets in 2013, and has worked wonders for the company in terms of sales. Honda has used the same Amaze engine formula in 2014 City which is a 1.5 liter iDTEC diesel engine. The new City will move with a class rending 26 kmpl mileage, almost similar to 25.8 kmpl yielded by Honda Amaze.
Since the new City is splashed with a new design concept, its obvious arch rival has to be Hyundai Verna. The sales generated by City is higher than Verna, and there are other rivals to compete with which is Maruti Suzuki Ciaz also garnished with an innovative Authentics design concept, new Corolla Altis, and Skoda Superb.
Brazilian citizens can soon get a fine taste of new City, and what makes it most interesting is it will run on a bio fuel agent ethanol.
