Honda Cars India Limited is an acclaimed brand in India that has produced quality models. The company has noted a 400% growth in Punjab, and during the 2013 to 2014 financial year the growth percentage was 83%. On the enormous sale growth a Honda company official said, ‘’the significant sale growth is due to the grand success of Amaze and fourth gen City. The company noted the highest ever sale growth in 2013 to 2014 financial period, with the sale of 1, 34,339 pieces. Honda’s first diesel project was Amaze launched in 2013 April, the company has since then noted admirable sales. Honda later launched the fourth gen City car, and the sale output was 30,959 pieces.
Honda also said that it has established a new unit in Tapukara in 2014 Feb, and the first model to launch from this unit is Amaze. The investment that went into the plant is huge at Rs 3526 crores. The unit has about 3200 employees and the capacity utilization output at Greater Noida factory is 100%, and the new unit established in Rajasthan is working on a single shift and the capacity output will soon touch 100%. The company’s upcoming products are the third gen Jazz and Mobilio MPV. The two models will launch in current financial year.
Honda is keen to increase its dealership output to about 35% this financial year, in order to expand it aims to expand its capacity in tier 3 and tier 2 areas. The company’s current dealership output is 170 units in about 107 cities, in the near future Honda visions to set up 230 dealerships in 150 cities.
Honda Cars India noted impressive profits taking the growth output of the entire country into consideration. In 2014 April the company sold 11,040 units in domestic sector contributing to 30% growth. The major contributors to the growth are Honda Amaze and fourth gen Honda City. The firm rolled out 8,488 pieces same time last year. In the export quarter the total profit yielded was 402 units, and the highest contributors in domestic sector are City with 7,044 units, Amaze with 3,355 units, Brio with 578 units and CR-V 63 units.
