It seems that nothing can beat Honda Cars India’s super success and continued celebration. When most of the auto majors of India are posting declined monthly sales rates, Honda India has again reported massive sale jump. Honda Cars India has announced its victorious situation in the still slumped Indian auto industry by posting a jump of 30 percent in its domestic sales in the month of April.
The Japanese premium automaker, which shot to incredulous fame after the launch of the Amaze has been constantly posting superb growth each month ever since April 2013, when the Amaze launched in India. Now, Honda reported great jump in the domestic sales again, as the company managed to sell 11,040 units in April this year as compared against the sale of 8,488 units in the same month last year.
After the stellar success of the Amaze compact sedan, Honda ensured its sales growth with another chartbuster in the form of the new City sedan that launched in January this year. Honda Cars India is currently busy bracing itself to launch the Mobilio MPV in India, which is expected to happen in July. The Mobilio is expected to be yet another great hit bringing Honda India three consecutive successes.
Honda Cars India is now focused on overall expansion in India in order to grab major market shares. Apart from product expansion, the Japanese car maker is also working on dealership network expansion across the country, while the company is also expanding its production capacity and has already commenced production in its new Tapukara plant in Rajasthan.
Speaking on the company’s sales performance, Honda Cars India’s Senior Vice President of Marketing & Sales, Mr. Jnaneswar Sen said that the company is pleased to have begun the new financial year of 2014-15 on a very positive note, and for this the company would like to thank its valued customers for the outstanding response to the all new Honda City sedan. Honda also celebrated the 1st anniversary of the Amaze compact sedan by launching the anniversary edition, about which the company is also very confident when great sales numbers are concerned.
The fourth generation all new Honda City is certainly an instant hit and is the current star seller of the company. The new City sedan garnered the highest sales figures for Honda clocking at 7,044 units in the month April. The one year old Amaze compact sedan got the second highest numbers for the company with the sale of 3,355 units. The stylish and affordable Brio hatchback sold 578 units, while the CR-V sold 63 units in the month of April, 2014.
Honda India exported a total 402 units in April that brought the total sales number of the company to 11,442 vehicles last month.
The launch of the all new City has proven to be a great boon for Honda, as the sedan has grabbed the first spot once again in the mid-sized sedan segment in India.
