Honda Motor launches the sporty Mobilio RS in Indonesia

The launch of the new Honda Mobilio RS variant in Indonesia has been much speculated and spied lately. Now, the Japanese car major has finally launched the new range topping sporty RS variant of the MPV in the car market of Indonesia. The new Honda Mobilio RS will be offered for sale in Indonesia in both the manual as well as the automatic gearbox options. While the Mobilio RS manual model has been priced at 203.5 million Rupiah (approximately Rs. 10.19 lakhs), the RS automatic model has been tagged at 214 million Rupiah (approximately Rs. 10.72 lakhs).

Honda has launched the new sportier RS variant for the Mobilio MPV following the great response that the MPV has got in the Indonesian market since its official launch in this year’s January. The new Mobilio RS variant gets a lot of cosmetic upgrades both on the outside as well as on the inside, thus offering a more premium appeal altogether. The variant will also be loaded with some exclusive features as well to make the deal more attractive.

As far as the exterior upgrades are concerned, the new RS Mobilio flaunts more stylishly designed front and rear bumpers, a new roof mounted rear spoiler, aerodynamic body kit, chrome finished muffler, redesigned 15-inch alloy wheels and the RS logo at the rear. The new variant also gets the segment first feature of LED projector headlights along with light guides.

As for the car’s interiors, the RS variant gets the royal all-black theme, in keeping with the earlier speculations. The dashboard of the car also keeps to the thorough black treatment which is further enhanced by the stylish silver accents on the AC vents as well as on the inner door handles. Making the overall premium look more attractive, the Mobilio RS gets its gear knob with a premium chrome finish. Thus the Mobilio RS flaunts a rich look and feel all over.

The new Honda Mobilio RS also gets packed with some exclusive features such as the 6.1 inch color touchscreen for the infotainment system, a reverse camera with parking assist, steering wheel mounted controls and speed sensing automatic central locking system.

The Honda Mobilio RS is based on the previous top-end model trim Prestige, and thus will be known as the Prestige RS variant. It will be offered for sale in 7 body color options, namely Crystal Black Pearl, White Orchid Pearl, Modern Steel Metallic, Alabaster Silver Metallic, Brilliant Gold Metallic, Carnelian Red Pearl and Bronze Metallic Ionized.

In the Indian car market, the Honda Mobilio is preparing for its launch next month. Witnessing the huge response that the MPV has received in Indonesia, the success expected to be replicated in India. In Indonesia, the Honda Mobilio has received more than 35,000 booking since its market launch in the month of January, which made it the second top selling model in the segment. The Mobilio is expected to bring Honda a hat-trick post its Indian launch following the success of the Amaze and the new City.
