Honda commences the pre-launch bookings for Mobilio officially, while also releasing its TVC

The upcoming Honda Mobilio MPV is one of the most awaited cars in India currently. The Mobilio is the Japanese car makers venture into the MPV market of India and is expected to be the third straight massive hits from the company after the phenomenal response to the Amaze compact sedan and the all new City sedan.

While the Mobilio is all set launch on the 23^rd of the current month, the unofficial bookings of vehicle have already started by the some of the Honda dealers in India. Now, finally Honda Cars India has announced that the company has officially opened the pre-launch bookings for the Honda Mobilio. The authorized dealers across India have now started accepting the pre-launch bookings of the Mobilio for a token booking amount of Rs. 50,000. According to a Honda dealer he expects to receive around 20 to 30 units of the Mobilio MPV this month, and based on the vehicle’s model trims and color variant availability, he can say that the delivery period may range from immediate to a week’s time.

Apart from the official booking commencement for the new Honda Mobilio MPV, the Japanese car major has also started the pre-launch promotional campaigning of the vehicle at full swing and has released the first TVC of the Mobilio. Apart from the TV commercial for the Mobilio, Honda is also going to continue displaying the new MPV at several popular shopping malls across India, as a part of the vehicle’s promotional campaigning.

The Honda Mobilio will be powered by the same engine range as the new City. The Mobilio petrol will be powered by a 1.5 liter i-VTEC petrol engine producing a max power of 119 PS and a peak torque of 145 Nm. On the other hand, the Mobilio diesel will be powered by a 1.5 liter i-DTEC diesel mill that churns out a max power of 100 PS and a peak torque of 200 Nm. Both these engines will be coming mated to a standard 5 speed manual transmission gearbox.

The petrol version of the Honda Mobilio is claimed to offer the mileage of 17.3 km per liter, while the diesel will offer 24.2 km per liter that is ARAI certified and the industry topping fuel efficiency.

As far as features are concerned, the top of the line model trim of the Mobilio will offer safety measures such as ABS with EBD, dual front airbags, and world class features such as steering wheel mounted audio controls, faux-wood center console, a 6.1 inch touchscreen infotainment system, power adjustable side mirrors, alloy wheels, fog lights and reverse camera.

Honda Cars India has also confirmed of its plans to offer the sportier RS variant of the Mobilio in the Indian car market.

The new Honda Mobilio MPV is expected to be priced between 6.5 to 9 lakhs. The vehicle is already visualized as the Maruti Ertiga beater, while its other competitors include the Nissan Evalia and the Chevrolet Enjoy MPV.
