It is said that nothing is perfect and even the best of the things come with some bad things in the package. This is also true with the new 2015 Honda CR-V compact SUV. While the CR-V is one of the patent cars from the Japanese car major Honda, the new model definitely has quite a few issues with it too along with the good stuff.
The new CR-V has just arrived at the dealership outlets and here are the few pros and cons about the SUV:
Pros:
- There is no denying that Honda is a pro in making quality cars and the new CR-V is not an exception to this. The new CR-V is great from all the angles and offers true premium look and feel.
- The company has boosted the torque figure of the SUV by 11 percent.
- Honda has made the new CR-V truly a new vehicle by improving the car on an overall term. The SUV has been also endowed with enhanced and quieter ride quality.
- From the many great looking design element changes, the most remarkable ones are certainly the new wheels that look absolutely stunning and make the new CR-V even sportier.
- Honda is known for its smart seating arrangements and the great smart flip and fold seats in the new CR-V are also amazing. These are not only really comfortable, but can be also handled with great ease.
Cons:
- Well here come the bad things. Firstly, it is hard to believe that the Honda CR-V is actually America’s top selling SUV or crossover. The CR-V surely looks great, but it certainly needs to put on some more weight to its overall style factor and add on an extra dose of oomph factor to become the global top-selling SUV.
- Honda claims that the new CR-V’s CVT is “seamless and sporty”. However, the CVT really does not feel that sporty and certainly is not as fuel efficient as Honda makes it sound.
- Years back the Korean auto engineers were accused of copying the style of the Japanese makers. Now, a first look at the new CR-V surely brings the thought of the new Hyundai Tucson front grille being copied, albeit with some tweaks.
- The Right-Hand Blind Spot Camera seems to be a problem on the new CR-V. The Blind Spot Camera seems to be malfunctioning at times and works even more poorly at night, and it can be distracting as well. So this little gadget might have been better not on-board, and you are surely better off without its help.
- Honda is charging $59 for the Map App on the new CR-V. This seems to quite unnecessary. If you look at it, it seems that instead of spending so much for a navigation system onboard, Honda is just making you pay quite a lot for just an app. It might seem to be a good idea to use Google Maps on iPhone for free instead.
