Honda Motor has officially announced in a company statement today that the new Honda Jazz will hit the European car market for sale in this year’s summer. The all new Honda Jazz was displayed at the Paris Motor Show in 2014 in a pre-production concept model form, and in this year’s Geneva Motor Show, the fully ready production version model of premium hatchback is expected to make its world premiere.

The new Honda Jazz for the European car market will get a more stylish and classy chrome finished front radiator grille, as compared against to the black front grille that is seen on the Japanese as well as the American spec model of the car.

At the time of the introduction of the new Honda Jazz, the Japanese car maker will be offering the premium hatchback powered by a 1.3 liter 4-cylinder i-VTEC petrol motor that is capable of generating a max power output of 102 PS. The efficient engine is mated to a new 6 speed manual transmission gearbox as compared against the outgoing Jazz model which came equipped with a 5 speed manual transmission. Honda will also offer the choice of a CVT automatic transmission gearbox on the car. As per the reports, Honda is also planning to launch the new Jazz Hybrid powered by a 1.5 liter petrol mill along with an electric motor, later in this year.

The new Honda Jazz for Europe would be produced at the company’s manufacturing facility based in Swindon, United Kingdom.

In the meantime, the company’s Indian subsidiary, Honda Cars India is also planning to launch the all new Jazz premium hatchback within the first half of this current calendar year.

Honda Cars India has reportedly already started manufacturing the new Jazz hatchback in its Indian facility. And though the Indian launch of the car is still some time away the India made new Honda Jazz have started getting exported to the South African car market.

In India, the launch of the all new Honda Jazz will mark the hatchback’s resurrection in the domestic car market, as the car was discontinued by Honda back in the year 2013 due to poor market performance. Though the Honda Jazz has always been a very able and premium quality car, its steep pricing and the lack of a diesel counterpart could not attract many Indian buyers. Thus, Honda was forced to withdraw the Jazz from India.

In the case of the all new Honda Jazz, the company has taken care of all the previous negative aspects. Honda India is producing the Jazz in India with high level of localization in order to keep its price competitive, while the car will launch in India along with its much needed diesel version.
