Honda Cars India has recorded a 16% gain in 2015 February, contributed by the flow of 16,902 units, contrary to 14,543 units sold a year ago. The company exported 1,119 units, and during the period of April 2014 to Feb 2015 the sale outcome is 166,366 units against 115,913 units sold a year ago.
The buying power for Amaze was the strongest with 7,163 units and there were enormous takers for City as well with 6,505 units. Honda sold 1,697 units of Mobilio, and 1,397 units of Brio, and 140 units of CR-V, leading to an overall sale outcome of 16,902 units. The financial year is coming to an India and Honda has achieved commendable success.
The company has made greater profits in the current financial year over the previous term, with the sale of 1.66 lakh units, which is a 44% growth. In FY 2013 to14 the firm rolled out 1.15 lakh units. Amaze is the strongest player of the 2015 February period, and it has been a best seller since inception in early 2013 and continues to sell in dozens. The prime selling feature is the world-class 25.8 kmpl mileage generated by the diesel car.
The second biggest seller is City with 6,505 units, and it too is a huge seller, the latest model is the new-generation piece and Honda has engineered the car with a new ‘Exciting H Design’ technology and the diesel vehicle runs on class-performing 26kmpl mileage. The new-generation City is selling in abundance, despite the competition pressure from Maruti Suzuki Ciaz and Hyundai Verna.
Honda has invested in the multi-purpose vehicle market with Mobilio, to face the competition heat from Maruti Suzuki Ertiga and Toyota Innova. The company sold 1,697 units of the car, which is a strong profit outcome, and there were decent number of takers for petrol Brio with 1,397 units.
Honda Cars India is one firm that has been constantly generating profits, despite the pressures of constrained economy. The trend is different with other esteemed auto manufacturers who have struggled to generate admirable profits for over two years.
