As speculations swelled, Testsuo Iwamura, Honda Motor’s chief operating officer quickly revealed the truth about the company’s strategy.

Iwamura said that the company’s styling principles have been very practical and convenient, as these have been offering the maximum space for the all the occupants of the Honda vehicles. The current design also focuses and tries to fit in the powertrains in the minimum space possible. More importantly, Honda constantly endeavors to offer very good visibility for all the occupants in the car.

Iwamura added by saying that Honda is not really interested in competing with the market rivals when design change is concerned. While the other car manufacturing companies are switching over to the extreme design changes in order to very create sharp and dynamic design for their products, Honda will be sticking to its present design principles, and will continue giving priority to practicality over stunning styling.

He concluded by saying that Honda Motors is not going to shift direction anywhere for its near future car models. The company’s design is very well accepted by the customers and the company will stick to these current design principles that yield great practical cars.

As far as the Indian market is concerned where Honda has been growing at a stunning rate, the company’s new offering for the year has again got postponed. The all new Honda Jazz that was expected to launch this month has got delayed. As per the latest reports, the long awaited new-gen Honda Jazz premium hatchback’s launch is being planned at a later date, and is now expected to take place in the month of June.

Honda Cars India has been racking up great sales volumes with the cars that the company launched in the country last year. The all new Honda City and the New Honda Mobilio both got massive response in the Indian car market that burned the sales chart for Honda India. The car maker was also expected to launch the all new Jazz in India towards the end of last year which was later said to happen in early 2015. And now, when the Honda car lovers are waiting to get their hands on the next-gen Jazz, a recent report says that Honda has decided to postpone the Jazz’s Indian launch to June, due to some production shortage issues of the existing cars.

Jazz is not currently a part of Honda Cars India’s portfolio, as the previous Jazz model was discontinued due to poor market performance. The lack of diesel model and high price led to the discontinuation of the previous Jazz, but the all new Jazz is set to correct all that.
