Next gen Civic expected to have a fierce 1.5 liter turbocharged engine

Honda is a highly acclaimed automobile enterprise recognized for the production of class value luxury cars. According to reports, the next generation Civic is the R concept car and will have a fierce 1.5 liter turbo mill. The vision behind the development is to increase the power efficiency, Yoshiharu Yamamoto, the Research and Development Chief of Honda said, the team will downsize the engine power of the base car, the acquired 1.5 liter engine will be a downsized variant of the potent 2.4 liter power train, and the goal here is to improve mileage and torque outputs.

The concept of downsizing an engine seems to be a risky and pioneering motive; Honda is keen to achieve a 1.5 liter engine with greater power and mileage. This is not the first time that the company is experimenting with such a concept, it had experimented with the force induction theory on the first-gen Acura RDX, that has a V6 engine and it was a blockbuster hit during the 1980s. Yamamoto said, the company is keen to further experiment on the downsized engine theory.

Civic is a phenomenal luxury brand and details of the next-gen vehicle is great, it is an extremely popular vehicle in India. The company is geared to introduce a diesel model by the end of 2016 and it will have a potent 2.2 liter i-DTEC engine, it is a highly powerful mill that has the power to emit fierce energies of 338Nm torque and 138hp power. It is supremely technology packed and has collision mitigation braking system and Honda’s innovative adaptive cruise control system. The standard vehicle will have six speed manual transmission and source say Honda may launch an automatic transmission vehicle.

The exterior outline of the upcoming Civic diesel is similar to its predecessors, the height is reduced by 20mm and the increased width dimension is 10mm. The design outline is splendid and reflects tints of sportiness, and the attractiveness is heightened by the presence of classy exterior, refreshed aerodynamic spoiler, rear wiper, new rear light cluster and daytime running lights.

The inner decor is refined to the core and also has world class technology advancements visible on Honda’s multi-information display and the other sources of luxury and convenience are sunglass holder, auto-dimming rear view mirror, audio playback, climate settings, premium leather steering wheel, ambient interior lighting, idle stop status, five inch dashboard screen grabs and top quality components.

The expected arrival period is end of 2016 and the likely price range is Rs 15 to 17 lakhs.
