The Japanese auto giant Honda has in fact started the production of all new Civic Type R which is considered as a latest and one of the most beautiful models from the Honda. But for Honda lovers in US there is a sad news. The Civic Type R is going to take around two more years to launch in the US auto market. Recently this has been informed by Mr. John Mendel, who is the Executive Vice President of American Honda Motor Co. According to him it may launch in the US in 2017 or 2018 that means the Honda fans will have to wait for almost two more years for this elegant model of the Honda.
However, the model will be produced at the company’s UK plant and sold across the world. The turbocharged type R Civic is much awaited model by the market because of classic features which can induce the sedan lovers. He also stated the decision of the company may have a severe effect on the pricing of the model, but initially also there will be sales in thousands of units per month. As per the market sources the model has much limited appeal, but according to him it is probably the best model in its class. He said that the critics can say anything but the model will prove its metal in the market, although for US market it is going to take some time.
Mr. Mendel said that before the Type R Civic an all new model of the Civic will be introduced which will have 1.5-liter turbo VTEC engine. This model will be a different than other models as it will be lighter and sportier than opposite to the previous models. As per him it will be offering a nice and fun-to-drive experience to the riders.
While talking to the media he said that there are many news saying that the company has lost its track and there is no sportiness in the model introduced by the company which is not true at all. He also said that in this trend they are introducing sportier models than ever in the past. The company has a specific game plan for the launching of this model and accordingly this model will be launched.
After getting the reviews of this model, there are many auto lovers, experts and competitors who are awaiting the launching of this model. In the current trend the company does not want to lose its edge and therefore there must be some new models which can rock the market and hold the battle ground for the company. Exactly following this policy the company is delaying the launching in the biggest market of the auto sector, US. However, the company is much sure about the fruits enjoyed by it after the launching of all new Honda Civic Type R in the US market. At this stage it is a bit sad, but good for the company in a long run.
