The next generation Honda Civic is based on the company’s new EXCITING H!!! design philosophy that has already been implemented on some of the latest car models from the stable of Honda. The test prototype which was spied testing on the roads of Thailand looked very much same as the American-spec sedan model, excepting some changes that have been done on the car’s front and rear facades. The sedan flaunts a big chrome radiator grille as well as slim headlights which makes it very stylish with a sporty appeal. The rear design of the car shows off a small rear wing that will probably be an optional accessory offering, while the LED tail lamps come in a new attractive design. The prominent wheel arches of the car get fitted with large and stylish 17 inch alloy wheels. This new model is also expected to offer roomy and comfortable cabin to offer great seating abilities for 5 adult occupants.
The all new Honda Civic sedan will be available for sale in both petrol and diesel versions. It is likely get powered by the new 1.5 liter VTEC turbocharged petrol mill and the 1.6 liter diesel motor. Transmission duties will be done by a probable choice of a 6-speed manual gearbox and a CVT automatic gearbox.
The new-gen Honda Civic is also expected to launch in the Indian car market. While official announcements are yet pending, it is likely to launch in 2017.
