The new version of Honda Civic, the premium sedan has been launched by Honda Car Siel India (HCSI) after going through some cosmetic changes. Hyundai has launched its sedan Verna named as Verna Fluidic. Let us differentiate these two Sedan so that the features are well understood.
Honda Civic has two accessories packages namely Inspire and Elegance. The elegance is packed with rear door sunshade, illuminated side step garnish and door visor. While Inspire is packed with front under spoiler, trunk spoiler, rear under spoiler and side under spoiler. In the front, Honda Civic looks aggressive sporty. The rear portion of the car is very attractive as it has Octo- combi tail lights and dual exhaust.
Hyundai Verna Fluidic has very stylish exterior with big headlamps. The grille is the same Hyundai’s own hexagonal styled. The L-shaped fog lamps have jawed chin that makes Verna look like a sports car. Verna has a thin waistline which moves along with the car and gives a streamline cut to the sides of the car. Its side mirrors are integrated with turn lights. The door handles are chrome coloured and the car is alloy wheeled. The tail lamps of the Verna has huge wrap outside on its big bumper. The bumper is fitted with the reflectors. The twin exhausts at the rear adds sporty look to the car.
The font cabin of Honda Civic resembles the cockpit of a plane due to its instrument panel. The panel consists of blue lit digital speedometer, tachometer and fuel economy indicator. The dashboard has audio system and AC placed centrally. It has fabric seats in some variant and leather seats in another one. The interior has colour combination of beige and black. The interiors are hugely illuminated and the seats are too comfortable with generous amount of space inside. The car has a dual tone dashboard and the steering is that of the same as i20 and is height adjustable. The central console is ‘V-shaped’. It has leather upholstery and the height of the driver’s seat can be adjusted. A striking feature of Verna is that its glove box comes with cooling system where one can store chocolate boxes. The car is roomy and offers a good back support to the passengers. The rear seats have three adjustable headrests. Verna has rear camera that displays in colour. Faux wood inserts can be seen all around the cabin. Verna is assisted with push-button start and keyless entry.
The new sedan is powered with an engine of 1.8L, i-VTEC, 1799cc, 4 Cylinder, SOHC that churns 132 Ps of max power at 6300 rpm and a maximum torque of 17.5 Kgm at 4300 rpm.
