Honda CR-V is available both in Petrol and diesel engine. Engines are robust and dynamic, made especially for performance. It is powered by 2.0-litre i-VTECH engine which gives it a displacement of 1997cc and is capable of producing maximum power of 143.06Ps at 6000 rpm and maximum torque of 190Nm at 4200 rpm. It has five speed manual gear transmission. Tata Aria is powered by 2.2-litre DICOR diesel engine which gives it a displacement of 2197cc and is capable of producing maximum power of 140Ps at 4000 rpm and maximum torque of 320Nm at 2700 rpm. It also five speed manual transmission.
Honda CR-V has McPherson Strut, coil spring in front while double wishbone, coil spring in rear. It is fitted with Ventilated Discs brakes in front and Discs brake in rear. They are specially made for heavy duty performance and stability. Suspension mechanism of Tata Aria is same as Honda CR-V which has excellent braking and handling. Front brakes are twin Port Caliper Ventilated and rear are disc type. ABS and ESP (Electronic Stability program) is well integrated with the braking mechanism making more efficient.
Honda CR-V starts with Rs. 23.3 lakh while Tata Aria starts at Rs. 11.9 lakh. CR-V is definite costly with less mileage giving Aria edge over it. Aria has similar Features in lesser price which would make it favorite among Indian market.
