It is an ultimate war of the premium sedans. The emergence of lot of contenders in the market is making the competition tough and the selection ever more difficult for buyers. Here an effort has been made to make a selection between the two ultimate sedans the Honda Civic and the Volkswagen Jetta easier for buyers.
Honda civic is a sporty looking and stylish sedan. The front of the car is designed with smoky headlights, the metallic front grille has a centrally positioned Honda logo; and the front lower grille is situated at the center while both the ends have a fog lamp. Honda civic is powered by a 1.8 litre, 1799cc, and has i-VTEC, 4 cylinder, petrol engine to it that generates 132 Ps of maximum power at 6300 rpm and 17.5 kgm of Torque at 4300 rpm. Honda offers option of both manual and automatic gearbox for the Civic and one can choose anyone of them according to their requirement. The automatic gearbox can be fun while driving in city or on the highways reduces mileage and also adds weight while the MT version ensures higher fuel efficiency along with high engine performance.
Volkswagen Jetta is powered by a highly powerful diesel engine which produces 140 PS of maximum power at 4200 rpm and 320 Nm of maximum Torque at 1750-2000 rpm. Jetta has a 6 Speed Manual Gearbox whereas the new Volkswagen Jetta 2.0L TDI Highline has been packed with a 6 Speed Automatic DSG Gearbox.
Both these high end sedans are meant for power and speed along with a comfortable ride. The Civic is a legendary car from the Honda stable and it looks far better than the Jetta. The Japanese manufacturers have made the new Civic good looking and have great aerodynamics. The pickup in the Civic is brilliant and far better than the German Volkswagen Jetta. The interior of both the carts are comfortable and has top of the line luxury features in them, the sedans are spacious and there is enough leg as well as headroom in the sedans. The engine of Civic is fuel efficient and is a great performer on the highways. Thus Honda Civic is the winner of this segment.
