The Honda CR-V was launched some time back where the Mahindra Ssangyong Rexton has recently been launched. While the Honda CR-V already has an established place among masses, Mahindra Ssangyong Rexton is also expected to win the masses. Let us explore the two SUV’s in detail.
Honda CR-V has been the only SUV that has been offered in India by Honda. It is a premium SUV and has got the looks along with great power. The SUV has created a masculine as well as a sophisticated image. The front of the car has got four bulb halogen headlamps that blend into the front grille. The grille has a Honda logo placed in the middle of it; the lower front grille has oval shaped fog lamps in them. The side profile of the car has body coloured door handles and rear view mirror which can be adjustable from the interior. The SUV has a high ground clearance and big alloy wheels. The rear of the SUV has simple looks with tinted rear windscreen.
Mahindra Ssangyong Rexton has got a global look. It has a front grille with the chrome finish and also carries the logo in it. The headlamps have an eagle eye shape and have projector lamps in them. The front lower bumper is painted in body colour and has the fog lamps on them which make it look good. The side view of the SUV has body coloured door handles and rear view mirror in it. The rear of the SUV has stylish tail lamps with integrated stop lamps and side turn indicators. The SUV has high ground clearance and alloy wheels with tyres of size P 235/75 R16 that have a superior grip at any terrain. The SUV has lots of badgering in its whole body.
Honda CR-V is available in 3 variants; it has a 2.0 litre and 2.4 litre of petrol engine and generates 143 BHP of maximum power at 6000 rpm and along with 190 Nm of peak torque at the rate of 4200 rpm. The 2.4 litre of VTEC of petrol engine generates 161 BHP of maximum power at 5800 rpm and 218 Nm of peak torque at the rate of 4200 rpm. It has a 5 speed automatic transmission.
Mahindra Ssangyong Rexton is powered by a 2.7 litre 2696cc of turbocharged engine which generates 165BHP at the rate of 4000rpm along with 34.6kgm of Torque at the rate of 1800 to 3250rpm.
Both these SUV s are high end stylish and luxurious SUVs which creates enough power to overcome any terrain and also provides enough space and all the luxury that one needs from a SUV of this class. However, the 3rd row seat in the Rexton is very low and a tall person will have a lot of problems seating in the last row. Whereas there are no such issues in Honda CR-V and thus it stands above the Rexton.
