Honda has revealed yet another product with a twist. It is the new Honda Jazz Twist which was unveiled at the 2012 Sao Paulo International Motor Show. Many other manufacturers have also showcased their own products such as the Hyundai launched HB20X which is the Brazilian crossover version of the i20 of India. Nissan also unveiled its extreme crossover concept and Volkswagen has revealed their small SUV Taigun. The Honda Jazz Twist is the one and only vehicle which has been launched in the Brazilian market especially designed for Brazil.
Appearance of the car
The exterior has not been changed much except the bigger 16 inch alloy wheels. The new Honda Jazz also gets a redesigned front grille which makes the front of the car look well-built the front also has the Honda Logo placed in it. The Honda Jazz has new dark headlamps which are known for providing sufficient amount of illumination at dark. The front lower bumper gets a new stylish plastic shield it is continued at the rear of the car also. The front bumper also houses the round shaped fog lamps. The side view of the Honda Jazz twist remains the same it has the same body coloured door handles and rear view mirrors. A roof rail has been provided for the roof of the Honda Jazz twist. There is not much change in the interiors, it gets a new Waterproof floor carpet in the boot of the Jazz, some chrome accents has been added on the dashboard, the air vents and handbrake are same from the old version of the Honda Jazz though some minor changes has been done which are negligible.
Specifications of Honda-Jazz-Twist Engine
There is not much change in the engine too it has the same 1.5-litre flex-fuel engine which powers the regular Honda Jazz. While running on ethanol, this engine generates 116 HP of maximum power on gasoline the new Honda Jazz twist can generate115 HP of maximum power output. The one good feature of the Honda Jazz is that it has both the option of manual and automatic transmission mode for the hatchback. The surprise for the people is that Honda has not changed the suspension of the new Honda Jazz it remains the same which is fitted in the old Honda Jazz that is available in India.
Verdict on Honda-Jazz-Twist
Honda is all set to bring the Jazz Twist to the Indian market and it will fill in the slot of increasing demand of compact crossovers and SUVs of the Indian market. But the launch will not happen before 2014 and recently Honda is concentrating more on bringing the Honda Brio sedan which will be powered by a diesel engine in the Indian market. The Honda Jazz is priced around Rs 15 lakh in the Brazilian market and with its macho appearance and the big 16 inch alloy wheels it can also be taken for a bit of off roading also. The market for the Honda Jazz has not been impressive in the Indian market but it will surely attract lots of eyes towards it after 2014 when the Jazz Twist will be launched.
