Honda Amaze has been launched in Thailand on November 23rd, and is most likely to hit Indian roads after six months. India is heavily geared to receive the Amaze, not only for its impressive exterior as observed in concept and teaser images, but also the fact that the Amaze will be India’s first ever diesel car from Honda. Dzire is a premium car from Maruti Suzuki which has contributed heaps of profit to the company, and also achieved the highest profit sales than any other car. Honda Amaze will actually compete with Suzuki Dzire; hence one can imagine the stiff competition.
Honda Amaze has been adopted from Brio, with wider interiors to provide more room. The exteriors are almost identical to the Brio. The front fascia is styled with deep curves, to provide a charismatic and sophisticated look. The Amaze rear also has strong graphics with a bigger dimension. The wheels of the Amaze are larger than that of Brio by 60mm with larger rear doors, to aid easy entry and exit.
With the creative interiors, the company has designed every detail of the interior to perfection. The company has highlighted the most important desired interior features which are comfort and storage. The interiors are designed with well upholstered and extremely comfortable seats, along with abundant storage space which include storage for coins, cup and bottle holders at floor console. The Amaze is designed with more legroom and knee room than Maruti Dzire. The car will come with many safety and security features.
The diesel variant of Amaze is fitted with a powerful 1.3 litre DOHC diesel engine which churns a high power of 74bhp at 4000rpm. The Amaze is equipped with a very powerful i-DTEC diesel engine, designed by former Honda F1 team, capable of churning a maximum power of 80bhp. The Honda Amaze is one car to watch out for, with stiff competition with Suzuki Dzire the car will surely be among the best seller list.
