Honda launches two new concepts of 2013 Honda Accord model at the Speciality Equipment Market Association (SEMA) in collaboration with Bismoto Engineering and Days Sales Outstanding (DSO) Eyewear or Mangum Automotive Design (MAD) Industries. The two variants launched are a Sedan and Coupe; both variants underwent extensive mechanical and cosmetic modifications.
The mechanical changes in the sedan version was the reconstruction of K and N high performance air filter, AMSOIL dominator motor oils Odyssey extreme battery and Dual Exhaust System, adopted from the 2013 Accord Sport model. The other changes performed were the modification of the chassis by changing the suspension and lowering the ride height for giving it a more appealing look and better mileage capacity.
The Accord Sedan underwent drastic cosmetic modifications highlighting the interiors; the changes occurred were; Midnight Tuscany Leather with Raven Black Perforated Suedezkin inserts, the seat has a Cream Bone Accent Suedezkin design which is inserted with matching contrast stitching, giving it a luxurious upgrade. The interior items used were Tuscany in door panel inserts, and the items were covered in Bone Suedezkin. The headliner, pillar and package tray were designed in Bone and Raven Black Suedezkin, the interiors were designed in blue trim accents. The Accord Coupe was fitted with NX wet shot chemical super changer, an exhaust system of Bismoto Cat-Back type and Burns stainless steel muffler. The chassis underwent minor changes and was redesigned with new progress coil suspensions and racing spec brake calipers and rotors. The interior modifications in the Accord Coupe included Bisimotowerks GT3 racing seats, Bisimotowerks Leather wrapped hand stiched roll cage, and Bisimoto socks to provide a sportier interior look. The ‘Grand Touring Concept’ was adopted in the Coupe and was designed in a matte grey foil wrap with red and black carbon fibre accents. The Accord Sedan concept was ‘White Orchid Pearl’ paint and polished with a Matte Blue Metallic Wrap.
The mechanical and cosmetic changes to the model will provide the car with a whole new look which would appeal to consumers. Honda along with Bismoto Engineering and DSO Eyewear or Mangum Automotive Design (MAD) Industries, has modified the Accord Sedan and Accord Coupe, not only on the exterior, but also the interiors as well. The collaboration of many companies specialized in sport engineering, sales, fiber and automotive design has led to the revamp of a good re-engineered model. The car poses a sophisticated look on the exterior, and also a trendy and sporty look. The tires are fitted with bright colors producing a blazing look to the model.
The elongated design and a bright and sporty image of the car would attract people of all age groups, and the interiors modified to a luxurious upgrade, will provide immense satisfaction to consumers, which would enable long and comfortable drives. The ‘White Orchid Pearl’ paint and a Matte Blue Metallic Wrap design will be a popular preference among consumers, since white will provide a neat and trendy look to the car.
