Honda releases Urban SUV Concept teaser image

Honda has released the first image of a new concept car at the 2013 Detroit Auto Show. The concept will be named Urban SUV. The teaser image depicts a posh car which would be suited for urban driving. The concept displays a neat graphical SUV, with spacious interiors. The Teaser image showcases a dynamic profile crafted with creases over the elegant exterior. This design from the teaser is a breakthrough not seen in other top models of Honda, not even the high quality CR-Z. The Urban SUV concept would be adopted from Nissan Juke and based on Jazz platform. The concept will come with a centrally mounted fuel tank to make room for passenger and luggage space. The new Urban SUV will be fitted with a very powerful 1.6 litre iDTEC engine attached with AWD and FWD drivetrain.

Honda Urban SUV will make its entry in the US and UK market. In the UK market the Urban SUV will compete with strong competitors of Mokka SUV from Vauxhall, Ford EcoSport, and Chevrolet Trax which will be launched in 2013. The striking SUV Concept will be unveiled at the 2013 Detroit Auto Show, but Honda has not announced the launch date of the concept in US or UK. However the concept might make an entry in US or European market by the end of 2013. The car might not be launched in India any time soon, it might be a long wait probably expected to arrive by the end of 2015.

The show was witnessed by top Auto makers. More than 77,000 people attended the 2012 NIAS show. The Urban SUV is a one of a kind concept with creases all over which is definitely the creation of great engineering heads. The concept displays a vibrant, sporty and young outlook.
