Honda Cars India Ltd (HCIL) has recorded a drastic four-fold increase in the total December sales for 2012 that stood at 4,242 units. The figure depicts a massive increase from 1,072 units sold in the same month last year, according to a statement by HCIL.
The December month sales witnessed high sales from City with 1,442 units, Brio with 2,286 units and Jazz with 365 units, the Civic contributed only 70 units but is still among the popular Honda cars in India. The company also sold 79 units of Accord sedan in December 2012. Along with a massive increase in sales, HCIL also exported 422 units in December 2012.
The largest contributor to the high December sales is the Brio, the Brio body is one appealing feature which would draw customers to the car. The exterior is designed to suit the likes of all age groups. The car will fit well when parked in a posh restaurant or workplace. The car is offered at a reasonable price between 4-6 lakhs, and is fitted with a very powerful 1198cc engine rendering an impressive mileage of 18.4 KMPL. The car is offered in six petrol variants with manual and automatic transmission gearbox.
Honda City is another legendary Honda car which has also contributed to the massive sale increase. The Honda City has rendered quality in India since its launch in 1998. The City offers optimum luxury, new engine, new design with abundant cabin space and marvellous engine performance.
The Brio and Jazz have proved to be the profit makers of Honda with their impressive features designed to the level of advanced engineering and a neatly crafted exterior to suit the young demographic. Honda is a brand associated with impressive exterior body designs. Honda Amaze sedan from Brio platform is likely to hit the shores soon and the sales should actually double or triple in India.
