Tata Motors is really coming up with unique deals to attract as many customers as possible to beat the blues of its steep declined sales. On 6th of March 2013, the Indian car giant offered its customers the option to drive home their very own Tata Nano with just a swipe of a credit card.

Tata Motors president, Passenger Vehicles Business Unit, Ranjit Yadav said that this unique offer would enable the customers to own a Tata Nano in the fastest and hassle free manner. With the introduction of this offer, Tata is giving its consumers the benefit of converting the entire amount on the credit card into interest free installment, which is spread over a period of 12 months.

It is said that the automotive industry lacks innovative marketing strategies to sell out products, and that is what had been addressed by Yadav, who was the former country head at Samsung India for the Mobile & IT Businesses. This new Tata official thought to improve on the selling strategy of the Nano by offering an option to customers to buy a car through a credit card, the same way a mobile phone or a lap top is bought easily.

In this first of its kind offer in the automobile industry, Tata Motors is enabling its customers to convert the entire amount in monthly installments with 0% interest, over a period of 12 months at an EMI of Rs.8,333 per month. To start off this scheme, Tata Nano has partnered with five banks namely HSBC Bank, ICICI Bank, Axis Bank, Kotak Mahindra Bank and Standard Chartered Bank. Any customers in India with a credit card belonging to any of these five banks can take advantage of this special scheme in 26 cities.

Tata Motors is in a desperate need to pump up its sales as its is suffering from great decline in the share market.
