Tata Motors owned JLR global Sales Registers a 32% Increase

Tata Motors-owned Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) has begun the year on a positive note with 32% increase in global sales in January at 34,877 units. To the amazement of the company and auto fans, the sales in January increased even in the international arena with 74% in China, 46% in Asia Pacific, 33% in UK, 24% in North America and 10% in Europe according to information from JLR in a statement.

According to Popham, JLR Director of Group Sales Operations,’’ With one of our best performances with respect to the high profit sales in January, Jaguar and Land Rover have been powerful players. The introduction of all-new Range Rover and 2013 Jaguar XF and XJ models are the stepping points to the success of the two brands.’’

The January sales of Land Rover was 29,118 vehicles which is a 31% increase, the other increases observed were Freelander at 57%, Range Rover at 52% which is inclusive of Range Rover Evoque at 32%, Range Rover Sport at 17%, and Land Rover Discovery at 14%. Land Rovers delivered amazing results even in the international segment of UK, USA and Germany according to information from company sources.

The Jaguar brand noted a 40% increase in January with 5,759 vehicles and 40% increase in sales of XJ, XF in major markets.

The Range Rover Evoque is a stunning compact SUV, the Land Rover is created on joint collaboration with British acquired Jaguar in India, and a subsidiary of Tata Motors as Jaguar Land Rover.
