Honda Amaze is one of the highly acclaimed soon to be launched cars, Honda India along with other reputed auto firms have registered a decline in sales in the 2012 to 2013 fiscal year. The company can bank on the Amaze for a positive turnover in terms of sales. Honda has announced an amazing outcome of 2,552 pre-booking of the trendy sedan, the Amaze. The car is scheduled to launch on the 11th of April.
The interesting fact about the Amaze is it is branded the first diesel car manufactured by Honda India. This car with an artistic design will compete with the equally sophisticated Maruti Dzire in the entry level category. The engine is tailored with cutting-edge technology on the patterns of the iDTEC ‘Earth Dreams’ engine which has the shockingly amazing capacity to generate 100 Bhp and 200Nm of torque. The mileage is one factor to consider for those who commute long distances on a daily basis, the 25.8 kilometer per liter mileage brands this car with the most fuel efficient tag in the entry level category. The car is rolled out in the petrol version too, which is incorporated with a 1.2 litre i-VTEC power train adopted from the Jazz and Brio, the energy output from the petrol version is 88bhp which is slightly lesser than the diesel, but still efficient to compete with its arch rivals.
According to Mr. Jnaneswar Sen, Senior Vice President who is in charge of the Sales and Marketing department said,’’ we are happy with our impressive improvement of 35% last year, in spite of the uncertainty in the market environment. The strong demand for Honda City and Brio has contributed to our credible profit turnover. The launch of the Amaze will be the next worthy step in Honda’s new lease of events in terms of expansion in the Indian segment. We are keen on a robust growth in tier 2 and 3 categories with the Amaze and we are keen on strengthening our sales output to new markets and areas. The company is keen on a noteworthy estimate of 10,000 units of this car, and the result of the amazing booking turnover of 2552 units is a step towards remarkable profits.’’
Most people are familiar with the fact that the Amaze is a sedan version of the Brio hatchback. In terms of length, the Amaze has a longer dimension, the back to taller to create elevated area for head and shoulder room. The car is sculpted with a 62mm longer wheelbase. The car has stiff competition with Swift Dzire and does overpower the Swift Dzire in terms of boot space of 420 litres.
The interiors are designed with an interesting beige and black colour theme. The car is priced between Rs 5 to 7 lakhs.
The amazing 2552 booking acquired by Honda Amaze does not come as a surprise to many, considering its powerful engine train, excellent mileage and classy interiors for a price of Rs 5 to 7 lakhs which also makes this an ideal value for money car.
