Honda is working on a range of new surprises for 2015, to expand its car segment and increase sales. There will be 4 new cars launched as stated by a company representative. The new line up of models will be a refreshed Jazz hatch, a Sport Utility Vehicle (SUV) designed in a compact form, a multipurpose vehicle with seven seats and new City.
Honda in India is an acclaimed figure for Brio hatch, Amaze sedan and City, Accord and CR-V. The company has a vast dealership network with 150 showrooms. On the topic of declining sales observed in the past seven months, the company announced that there was a significant growth of 35% during the financial period that terminated on March 31st 2013.
The year 2011 to 2012, the company rolled out 54,427 vehicles and in the 2013-2013 periods, the sale figure recorded was 73,438 vehicles which lead to a 35% increase. The company is aiming significant sale profits this year and aims to shed 1 lakh vehicles and is keen to expand its dealership portfolio to 162 outlets for the current financial year.
The 2015 Jazz is expected to arrive in the beginning of 2014, and to the amazement of the public will be constructed on new base. The car will be released in diesel and petrol models. Honda’s first diesel project was Amaze, the public would now be excited to experience the drive dynamics of Honda’s first diesel Jazz car. Moreover the car will receive a whole new renovation on the exteriors. The interiors will be built with a new unique selling proposition (USP) called the maximum machine minimum sculpture theme.
The new City will be built primarily for the Indian and South East Asian markets, the sedan car will be built on Jazz base. The car will be inserted with diesel and petrol power trains as well. The new City will arrive with massive modifications on interior and exterior.
The 2015 SUV model of Honda will be built based on Jazz compact Sport Utility Vehicle (SUV). This car was showcased at the prestigious Auto show in Detroit, and will compete with Ford EcoSport and Nissan Juke in international segment. India is an attractive market for SUV’s and the new SUV launched by Honda will increase the stiff competition in this segment. The car will launch with diesel and petrol engines.

Honda India has strategized its future expansion and profit plans effectively after the roaring success of Honda Amaze, it is a practical strategy of the company to experiment on new diesel models.
