Next Gen 2014 Honda Jazz will hit Japan in 2013 September

The reputed Japanese auto firm Honda will launch its next-gen 2014 Jazz in its own soil during the month of September this year. The car is built on a novel platform, and was used to build the next-gen City and a compact SUV with Jazz base. For ardent Honda fans in India, the car might launch sometime in 2014.

Honda besides, the 2014 Jazz has a string of surprise packages with four refreshed models within 3 years from now, the next-gen Jazz is one of the new arrivals in its pipeline, the other interesting launches is a refreshed utility model, next-gen Brio and City along with a multipurpose vehicle based on Brio.

Honda has terminated the production of the earlier next-gen Jazz, and it is interesting to observe the 2014 Jazz launch, the reason for the production of this model to be stopped is due to dismal sales which has lowered the profit image of Honda. The car was also offered with attractive discounts, but still failed to meet the required net profit demands, and this compelled the company to close down the production units of the car.

The earlier Jazz model was not equipped with a diesel power train, and a combination of no diesel engine and aggressive price has lowered the buying power of the car. To fight the unfavorable car economy period, Honda is working on enhancing localization; this trend was observed with Amaze sedan and Brio hatchback. The high localization costs might have enabled the company to price the cars at consumer centric prices.

The next-gen Jazz hatch will have a larger length dimension of 60mm; the wheelbase will be extended as well to create larger room, which is more spacious than the earlier model. The car will have new design modifications on exterior and interiors. There were spy images of 2014 Jazz splashed on the internet, the image portrays the car with interesting upgrades such as thicker grille, exclusively styled bumper, bigger dams, and creatively designed long head lamps. On the rear, there is a stack of new tail lamps.

The next-gen Jazz will be inserted with 1.5 liter engine with the advanced and world class iDTEC technology, which is fitted in Amaze as well, and the petrol power train is incorporated with 1.2 liter mill.

It would be interesting to observe the launch of new Jazz; Honda has strategized the features of the new car to perfection with a larger dimension from all angles, and new thrilling features to elevate the profit image of the car.

The company has some interesting launches to compete with stiff competitors in Indian car market. This will be Honda’s first project in the compact SUV and multipurpose vehicle segment, the compact SUV will compete with arch rivals of SUV’s designed by Mahindra, and the multipurpose vehicle will compete with Ertiga model of Maruti Suzuki.

The new launches by Honda will increase the cut-throat competition that prevails in the Indian market. This is interesting news for Honda fans especially with the new SUV and multipurpose vehicle.
