The Honda Jazz is a hugely popular hatchback in the Australian car market. With the launch of the all new 2014 Jazz, this popularity is expected to manifold the sales rates of the ongoing Jazz. The Japanese luxury car major has not revealed any new motors to power the all new Jazz/Fit, while the Jazz Hybrid gets a lot better with enhanced technical specifications and far greater mileage. The Jazz Hybrid is supposed to become similar to the world-wide acclaimed Toyota Prius and can be driven solely on its battery power. The all new Jazz is expected to arrive in Australia both in its petrol models and hybrid models.
According to Honda Australia, the next gen Jazz will feature all the highest selling points of the current model, while making them even better, while it will also have very competitive pricing.
The all new Jazz already has a challenge in the Australian market that is to touch or cross the ongoing model’s best sales rates of 12000 units in the year 2007, which the company is very hopeful in achieving these figures again by making the car very competitive. Honda will source the 2014 Jazz from Thailand for the Australian market.
The next gen Jazz sports a far more appealing and contemporary external looks with new body linings and slanted slowing design. The interior of the car is also completely changed and features more plush and premium materials, a more contemporary and sorted dashboard along with a central touch screen display.
The all new 2014 Jazz Hybrid model will be powered by a 1.5 liter motor that is an upgraded variant of the current engine as well as a single electric engine. The hybrid can run solely on battery for around 5 kilometers, which is not possible in the current model. Honda has also recently claimed the fuel efficiency rating of the Jazz hybrid as 2.7 litres/100km as per the Japanese fuel test cycle. This improvement is around 30 percent more mileage than the ongoing model.
The all new Jazz Hybrid gets a seven speed dual clutch transmission gearbox replacing the ongoing models CVT transmission to enhance the fuel economy. This same transmission system is also expected to be offered in the 2015 Civic model, which Honda has confirmed to be a future release but has not yet announced the launch dates for the car. Honda is expected to use the dual clutch transmission gearbox in other future models as well.
