Honda and Formula One to work on building safer motor racing vehicles

Honda Motors is a world acclaimed auto firm, the company has ventured into all car segments, and is now working with McLaren Formula one racing group. The joint partnership was confirmed by Martin Whitmarsh who heads McLaren group. The relationship between the two groups dates back to many years, Honda stated that it would participate in Formula one events to roll out engine components to McLaren scheduled for 2015. Both firms got along pretty well and entered into a strong partnership from 1988 to 1992, the healthy partnership is evident in the spectacular results achieved by the two parties with 4 championships and 4 constructor’s trophy.

Martin Whitmarsh announced that he was highly satisfied with the new contract and aims to achieve stronger bonds in order to expand its Formula One portfolio to new levels. Formula one events have always thrilled the public, this sport is popular in India where most people travel overseas just to witness exciting Formula one racing events. Whitemarsh made an interesting comment stating that both firms will dwell in automobile technology research, since at present there is no significant research being carried out and Honda aid in employing such cutting-edge technologies. He also stated that Honda is now conducting extensive research on developing a third car to complete the racing car picture along with Porsche 911 which is an arch rival to P13.

According to Whitmarsh, 12C model is still functional and will continue for some time, The company has recently introduced P1, and P13, the recently launched model. It would be interesting to observe the launch of the two upcoming models and create an overwhelming impact on racing tracks. The two firms have decided to adopt an interesting work partnership theme called ‘Bilateral Technical Arrangement’ and work on advanced and world class projects that would result in powerful cars that can absorb harsh impacts.
