Honda is also offering the technology where the engine and electric motor can be disengaged to run the car in electric mode only. The car draws power from a 4 cylinder 1.5 liter Atkinson engine and thanks to the adoption of the engine that has made the high fuel efficiency possible.
The electric motor is mated to a 7 speed dual clutch transmission gearbox as well as a smart power unit with lithium-ion battery. The new Fit Hybrid offers the technology where the electric motor and engine can be engaged as well as disengaged depending on the driving situation. The car offers a total of three driving modes; namely motor only drive, engine and motor hybrid drive and engine drive. It is also said that you don’t have to bother about changing the driving modes either, as the car changes it automatically depending on driving situations.
