Honda to drive Jazz back into India next year

Aficionados of Honda Jazz may have another reason to enjoy.  The aggressive giant Japanese car manufacturer is making effort to bring the model back in the country in the coming year with option of diesel and petrol engine. Other than the revival release of Jazz, Honda is also planning to release a 7-seat Multipurpose Purpose Vehicle that will be released in the coming year. The hatch is in its developmental stage and is expected to be released in diesel and petrol variants, stated Jnaneswar Sen, the SVP of the Marketing Sales Department of Honda Motors India.

He further stated that the brand has plans to invest in an innovative hatch assembly line; diesel motor facility and imitating plant at its production unit in Tapukara in the state of Rajasthan. The diesel motor facility is all set to function but the other two investment units will take some to time and get into action by the fiscal year 2014.Sen also spoke about sidelines of the yearly agreement of the SIAM.

With the falling value of rupee, will Honda also switch to price increment of its product? The car market is extremely competitive and holds great pressure on the base. Sen stated that the company is still studying the impact of depreciated rupee value on its production and marketing and it hasn’t made any decision so far.

While Brio and Amaze contribute to 90% of the localised content, Honda City Sedan covers around 70% of the local content. In the short run, there won’t be any major effect of the depreciation of rupee on Honda cars.

Volkswagen subsidiary India has taken into account the price hiking of its products and the company shall come up with a decision in the coming week. Mr. Arvind Saxena, MD of Volkswagen Group in India stated that the depreciation in the value of rupee has hit the marginal profits of the company. The company is presently working on the importance of the price increment.

As per Saxena, the festive season will not possibly prove to a big ticket this year for the car industry seeing the present fiscal condition of the country. When questioned whether a Government help incentive would be of any help, he commented, it surely did during the 2008 monetary crisis.

Ford Cars declared that the developed export scheme in India will adapt to the changing market situation and international demand for compact cars and SUVs. Ford Motors will work more to enhance its global market to more than 50 nations. With regards to the flexibility of the One Ford Plan, the brand has shown significant growth in the total export volumes.

As the company undergoes its greatest commercial extension in the Asia Pacific, Ford remains dedicated to its One Ford aim of providing beneficial growth strategy for all. By 2020, Ford expects that the company of B-segment small cars will double and the demand of MUV and SUV will triple from 2012 to 2017.
