Honda is all set to release 4 new models in the country. The very first in this series is Brio MPV that will stand in competition to the Ertiga, second is the all-new Honda City, third is the Honda Jazz that’s ones again being revived and the last one is the Jazz based Sports Utility Vehicle. Honda City has been the flagship model from the company in the luxury car segment.

The new 2014 Honda City is going to be available in the Honda showrooms in India, in both diesel as well as petrol variant. According to the sources, the new series of Honda City will be released at the Auto Expo 2014. The car is being replaced after a period of 5 years as the last Honda City model will soon complete its 5 year cycle.

The new model of Honda City Petrol will come compacted with 1.5l petrol engine. The engine is expected to remain the same but the power, fuel efficiency and emission could be tweaked. The Honda’s concept of ‘man max machine min’ has been executed while designing the New Honda City as well. The coupe has been designed on the similar Jazz platform and will be manufactured in the Rajasthan facility of Honda.

Speaking about the petrol engine of the coupe, Honda City Petrol produces the maximum power of 127Bhp and a peak torque of 154Nm. To make things better, the 1.5l i-VTEC motor that renders power to the City gives out a power output of 118Bhp and torque of 145Nm. The new engine has been produced under the much famous banner of Honda Earth Dreams Technique that will render better fuel economy and lower emissions. Over the years, the company has pioneered over the fuel efficient engine and petrol engine techniques, thus, it will bring the same innovation in the new City series.

It is clear from the images that the new coupe will sport better LED treatment and has smarter LED lights, newly designed alloy wheel and headlight projectors. Some of the design features of the new City seem to have been taken from the Honda Civic.

There many other amendments made in the interiors of the coupe, but the camouflaged car didn’t reveal much of the inside body. However, it is speculated that the interiors will be attributed with luxurious features in a two shade colour theme. The insides of the car will be embellished with beige coloured upholstery as well as a sleek instrument panel.

The car is said to release in the beginning of the 2014. The company is surely reviving the position of 2014 Honda City petrol amongst its fanatics to increase its market share in the automotive car market. It is the first new revival of the Honda City and the company will surely leave no stone unturned in the success of the company. Notably, the company reported an 88% growth in its sales in September 2013 which it hopes to sustain in the near future with its lined up new launches.
