All new 2014 Honda Jazz in India

The Honda Jazz is one of the most dependable and efficient hatchbacks that the Japanese luxury car brand has churned out. Owing to its great stylish design appeal, trusted performance and convenience features, the Honda Jazz has been a massive success in the world’s auto industry. The Jazz is also known as the Fit in some international markets but offers the same great quality and benefits to the owners across the globe.

Unfortunately, the capable Honda Jazz could not click in the Indian car market. Honda Cars India had offered the Jazz to the Indian car consumers in the hope of getting the same success that the company received in the rest of the world, but as the Indian car consumers are price sensitive, the Jazz could not strike the right cords with the consumers. Owing to a high price tag, the Honda Jazz generated very low sales and thus, was eventually discontinued in the Indian car market.

Now, after a huge success story post the launch of the Amaze compact sedan, Honda Cars India is all rejuvenated and bubbling with fresh vigor. The company has already announced that whole bunch new cars are headed towards India in the next 2 – 3 years time, and the latest generation Jazz is certainly one of them. Honda is all ready to bring back the Jazz in India, but not the previous model, but the all new 2014 Jazz that has been recently launched in Honda’s domestic car market Japan.

The all new 2014 Honda Jazz or Fit was unveiled in the Japanese car market on 5^th of September, 2013 and is already a super success. According to the reports the new car has already registered over 62000 bookings in just one month post its market launch.

The all new Honda Jazz is snazzier and sleeker despite being larger in size as compared to the previous model. The bigger and better Jazz offers superior visual appeal, greater interior space, enhanced leg room and loads of comfort. The new hatch also offers better efficiency and performance than its predecessor.

In the car market of Japan, the 2014 Jazz/Fit has launched powered by a 1.3 liter petrol and a 1.5 liter petrol engine, apart from a 1.5 liter hybrid engine. However, for India Honda is expected to bring in the all new Jazz in both the petrol and diesel engine options, while the Hybrid variant will be given a miss.

Though Honda has yet not confirmed about the engine specifications of the upcoming 2014 Jazz’s powertrain specifications, it is very well expected that post Amaze’s amazing success, the Jazz will come with is diesel avatar and most probably the same 1.5 liter iDTEC engine will be under its hood that runs the Amaze.

Honda India has confirmed that the all new Jazz will be hitting the Indian car market next year. Looking at the huge response that this new hatch has generated in Japan, Honda might be bringing another massive competitor to further heat up the Indian car market in the form of the 2014 Jazz.
