Honda Amaze 1.5 VX MT (i-DTEC) Diesel Car that brought changed

Honda is well known for its refined and long-lasting engines. It has been quite a long time since Honda has prevailed in the Indian car market and in those years Honda has delivered some of the best cars which have been witnessed by us. Irrespective of the category or the car segment, Honda has manufactured all types, luxurious sedans, tough SUVs, practical entry level cars, hatchbacks, etc.

Honda introduced its new Amaze in the Indian car market. Honda Amaze has different models and variants among which one is the Honda Amaze 1.5 VX MT Diesel. This is the first time in India that Honda has used a diesel engine to power a car. The Amaze uses a 1.5 litre 1498 cc to power its wheels. This engine produces 100 PS of maximum power @ 3600 rpm and a maximum torque of 200 Nm @ 1750 rpm. Honda claims that this new diesel engine is the lightest one in its category which, as a result, helps in reducing the weight of the vehicle. It also provides a better mileage due to less weight. And to add a cherry to the cake, it has a turbocharger. It seems that there is a new trend prevailing in India to install a turbocharger in cars, which is a good thing as it provides more power and reduces the emissions.

The Honda Amaze from the front looks quite similar to Honda Brio. It can be called as a more masculine sibling of Honda Brio. The front grille with two chrome lines with Honda’s badge in the middle looks fantastic. It also has body coloured bumpers. There are two side lines, one rises from the front wheel arc and goes up to the bottom of the rear door’s window, the second line rises (below the first line) from the middle of the rear door and goes to the back and smoothly indulges into the design of the tail lamps. It looks great.

The interiors of the Honda Amaze are very appealing. It has very comfortable seats and ample space for every occupant. As usual Honda has given a sporty three spoke steering wheel with audio controls mounted on it. Inside the cabin it feels very calm and relaxed, maybe it has something to do with the colour combination Honda has used. It has power folding ORVM, a very sporty speedometer and a good quality audio system. To increase the storage space it has pockets both on the front and rear doors, a spacious glove box and even the rear seat armrest has drink holders.

The Honda Amaze has dual front air-bags to keep you safe. It also has Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) with Electric brakeforce Distribution (EBD) to keep the car under your control. Also the body frame is well built to absorb very high stresses.

The Honda Amaze is really Amaze-ing. Honda introduced its first diesel engine which is incredible. Honda is really pushing the limits of the competition. Priced at Rs 7,77,640, Honda Amaze will be fighting a battle against Maruti Suzuki Swift DZire.
