Great TV commercials can create a great impression on the minds of consumers and leave the desired effect on the viewers’ minds. This is very true in the automobile industry as well. There are many capable car models in the world’s auto market that could not make it big simply because of a wrong or less effective marketing strategy.

With the passage of time superb alluring advertisements are created that make use of high-tech effects and graphics to ensure that the viewers can’t take their eyes off the commercials and grabs their full attention. A superior car’s features and plus points are used as the main criteria to create a TV commercial, and these are highlighted in the most enticing ways to compel the prospective buyers to at least enquire about the model. Even the less prospective buyers can be so enthralled by a TV commercial that he might even want to upgrade to a more expensive car than he indented to.

At present, the auto giants are going in for rather different sort of advertisements that involve more of illusions or mind boggling stunts other than using the more common animation and graphics effects. A lot of the global auto makers are coming up with great commercials that tickle the child-side of the viewers and make them wonder with childlike amazements through wonderfully awe inspiring television commercials.

Being a luxury auto giant, the Japanese car maker Honda can’t really stay away from such ads and decides to join the flock of other car makers that are creating a buzz with their advertisements. Honda has just released a new commercial for the European audience. This new commercial features the Honda CR-V 1.6 i-DTEC Diesel and showcases how the vehicle is working towards the future developments with its performance and fuel efficiency.

The latest CR-V 1.6 i-DTEC Diesel’s commercial however is not the first Honda advertisement that created a buzz with its awe inspiring commercial. Honda also released a very innovative ‘Hands’ advertisement earlier this year that stressed on the power of the hands to create new innovative and futuristic vehicles. This Honda ad showed miniature vehicles ranging from motorcycles, to super bikes, to various cars and even spacecrafts all created out of a small metal nut by a pair of hands. The advertisement ends with a car producing clean water suggesting a hydrogen fuel cell car.

Coming back to the latest CR-V 1.6 i-DTEC Diesel commercial, Honda employs superb optical illusion here but this time around in the old fashioned way. The advertisement uses fantastic, realist art work, proportionately placed props and the clever usage of the camera to create a mind blowing images that seem rather “impossible.”

The advertisement is a great embodiment of the caption “An Impossible, Made Possible” that Honda claims to be always working on for even greater innovative cars that are ready for the future.

The commercial video ends with the voicing: “Let’s do those things that can’t be done, with less fuel in and more mileage out, an impossible made possible”.
