The launch of Amaze has worked magical wonders for Honda India; this is a sedan version of Brio hatch. The car has stiffened the cut-throat competition that exists in the sedan segment; one of its arch rivals is Maruti Suzuki Swift DZire which is among the top selling models of the company.
Now there is a sense of fear that Amaze might tarnish the image of Honda’s own City model. The City was always known to be a stunner, but now Amaze has taken over. The October sale data reveals that the sale release output with Amaze is 9,564 units while with City it is only 31. The sale figure recorded for City is totally different from last year, which was 3,976 pieces. There is some interesting news for City fans, Honda plans to introduce a new upgraded model very soon, and this time it will surge excitement levels, with a revamped design and diesel engine option.
It is not only the City which is under the sale pressure radar, even the Brio is not sold in bulk during the October month. The sale portfolio of Brio in October is 1,472 pieces and this is half the number compared to last October with 3,700 pieces. There were sufficient buyers for Accord which is draped in magnificent luxury and style and is priced at Rs 20 lakhs. On the whole this is a credible moment for Honda for the 2013 October month it has churned admirable sale profits, which is 40% higher than last year. The Amaze has literally played the role of a magic spell, and has contributed majority of profits for the company.
Honda unveiled its Amaze model in early 2013, this is the company’s first diesel project, and one customer grabbing feature is the mileage obtained from the diesel model which is 25.8kmpl and is known to be the best-in-its class. The petrol Amaze also equally reliable and moves with a mileage of 18kmpl. With the souring increase in petrol rates, mileage is a critical factor which customers would look into. Amaze meets such requirements, also most high-tech industries are situated on the near city outskirts and owners will have to travel miles to work, here the reliability factors with Amaze is supremely high.
The price is one factor which stands tall among other attributes; the car is priced at Rs 6 to 8 lakhs. A car with mind blowing mileage figures offered with a killer price tag is something most people would dream of, and Honda has transformed this dream into reality.
The Amaze displays a trendy youthful sub-compact sedan image, the sides of the car is splashed with creative lines and creases. The head lights are molded into arty thick stretched back structures, and the design of the radiator grille is simple yet elegant and is filled with two bar compartments.
The car is rolled out in professional and vivacious colors of majestic blue mattlic, crystal black pearl, urban titanium metallic, carnelian red pearl, alabaster silver metallic and taffeta white.
Amaze does overshadow other Honda models in terms of appearance, mileage, price and color options.
