Honda has offered its multipurpose vehicle, Honda Mobilio a face lift. The vehicle is longer and stronger than Honda Amaze and Brio. The Honda Mobilio is a compact MPV with seven seats, ideal for Indian families and Indian road traffic. The car is not very large to occlude small roads and is pretty driver friendly and spacious to invite considerable appeal from its occupants.

To answer its tough competitors in the segment of MPVs, Honda has got into action by launching its all new Brio based Mobilio, seven seater MPV that has been unveiled recently in Indonesia. The vehicle has a longer wheel based and looks much different from the Brio hatchback and the Amaze Saloon. Though its front end and basic proportions are similar to Brio, it has a sportier look and a wider grille to offer it a different look.

Specifications of Honda Mobilio:

The Honda Mobilio is roughly 4.4 meters long and has a long wheelbase of at least 2.6 meters. It has a ground clearance of 185 mm and looks somewhat as a stretched out version of Brio. All its integrities have been carefully crafted to offer it the feel of a Multi-Purpose vehicle though. The Mobilio has been considered as a budget MUC and users could expect a lot of components sharing with other cars and the MPV is of course competitively price. It has been expected that the Mobilio would compete with Maruti Suzuki Ertiga, Mahindra Quanto and Chevrolet Enjoy, once it has been launched.

Interiors: The interiors of the vehicle are expected to be similar to Brio and Amaze and its color would synchronize with Beige. It has been anticipated that its interiors would be spacious especially at the front two rows and its third row would be foldable to accommodate extra luggage and playing kids. It would be an ideal vehicle for large families in India though the list of its equipment’s and comfort features are pretty less compared with its competitors. It may not be advisable to expect an ambient music system, Bluetooth connectivity and trendy features with the vehicle, but its safety features are the best to enhance comfort. It has standard fitments such as ABS, Airbags and EBD for higher comfort trims.

Engine power:  the new Honda Mobilio would be powered by an 1.5 liter turbocharged engine that is on Earth dreams model and is capable of churning out power of 100 PS and a torque of 2.5 NM. This is indeed the same power packed in the engine of Amaze Sedan. The Mobilio is also gossiped to be released in its petrol variant that would be powered by a VTEX 1.5 litre petrol engine. It has been anticipated that in lieu of tax benefits, Honda would decrease the size of the car.

Launch date: The Mobilio is expected to be launched in India by April, 2014, but a version of the wagon would be debut at the February, 2014 Auto Expo. The starting price of the vehicle would be around 6.25 lakhs for the petrol variant, while the diesel variant is expected to be launched at Rs 9 lakhs.
