Honda has a list of new interesting launches for the Indian car market like fourth-gen Honda City diesel, Vezel SUV and Mobilio MPV. Honda’s new Vezel is on the spot light in Japan, the car was captured by car enthusiasts before its display at the Tokyo Motor event.
Ardent car fans captured several images of the car which is available on the web; Vezel was parked close to the factory. Honda Vezel is draped in grand material, and Honda continues to incorporate creative style cues in its models. The Vezel is certainly an interesting launch; the style statement is adopted from the company’s sophisticated and professionally designed Jazz car. Vezel is packed with design cues taken from CRV as well; the roofline of Vezel is similar to that of CRV.
The most exciting aspect about the launch of Vezel is the availability of electric and hybrid engine. The Indian spec car will be equipped with potent 1.5 liter petrol VTEC power train derived from Honda City. The diesel spec Vezel will run on a powerful 1.5 liter diesel engine adopted from Amaze. The car will be offered with four and two wheel drive variants. For Indian markets Honda is keen to first introduce the Jazz and Mobilio and then Vezel.
Those who have observed the morphology of the initial production variant of Vezel, the car has undergone numerous transformations and the current version is magnificently grand. When launched, the competition in SUV segment will intensify like never before. Some of the arch rivals of Vezel are Mahindra XUV500, Nissan Terrano, Renault Duster and Ford EcoSport.
Lucky ones in Japan can view the posh Honda Vezel at Tokyo Motor show and sources are not too sure if the Vezel will be showcased at the auto expo 2014 event in Delhi, scheduled for February next year.
The competition in SUV segment is heating up, with the launch of Ford EcoSport, Renault Duster, Nissan Terrano etc. The Indian car market is witnessing an influx of highly urbanized SUV’s, and Honda Vezel is an additional member in this list. The car preference levels with the modern demographic are changing with time, evident with the enormous flow of luxury brands in the past few years.
Honda has been successful with first hand experiments on new projects, the company’s first diesel project was Amaze. The end result of the launch was phenomenal profit sales, the company is now introducing a hybrid and electric car, car enthusiasts and Honda cars fans will certainly bet on impressive sale outcomes.
The year 2014 is an interesting one for ardent car fans, with the series of new launches, besides Vezel SUV, Honda is geared to unveil another stunner called Mobilio MPV. This is Honda’s rare projects, but the car looks pretty grand, and it would be interesting to test drive the car post launch.
Honda has not confirmed on the launch of Vezel in India, Indian’s would want the car to launch in India. If launched, the crowd response in showrooms will surely be massive. Let’s hope the car hits Indian roads.
