Honda Cars India has managed to be on a profit wave despite the present dim car market scenario. The company has achieved magical fortunes and at one period, the company recorded a profit figure of over 80%. The secret behind the company’s one shot marvelous profits is the launch of below four meter Amaze car.

Amaze is Honda’s first diesel project launched in 2013 April, not even a year has passed since the launch of the car, and Honda has already sold almost one lakh Amaze vehicles. The attention grabbing feature of Amaze is looks trendy and youthful. Those who have stepped into the car would not have even believe that it is a below four meter car, but the interior room is super spacious for a less than four meter car. The other attractive feature which has drawn a massive crowd in showrooms is the mileage generated by the diesel model, which is 25.8 kmpl known to be the best-in-its class. Amaze is also sold with a decent price tag of Rs 5.1 to 7.7 lakhs.

Prior to the launch of Honda Amaze Maruti Suzuki was in the below four meter sedan limelight with the Swift Dzire. The fiercest competitor for Amaze is Swift Dzire. When Amaze arrived on Indian soil, the demand for the car was so enormous that the company had to build another unit to accommodate the overpowering demand for the car. The below four meter sedan category has drawn considerable amount of sales. Customers have opted for these cars to enjoy the luxurious of comfort and opulence and buyer centric rates. Sub four meter sedans have worked well for auto firms as well, since the excise duty rates are on a lower scale.

The overall profit sale output in below four meter sedan segment has increased by two fold in just 3 years. Cars from this category have contributed to a total of 15 percent sales. There is admirable scope for further growth for this segment, but there are unfortunately manufactured by few firms.

Honda Amaze and Maruti Suzuki Swift Dzire are present the active rulers of below four meter sedan category. Now a sense of worry with both firms will crop up, since there are new below four meter sedan launches. Honda’s Amaze is at the moment on top of sale charts, Hyundai will release the i10 Grand below four meter sedan. Tata Motors is also geared for a below four meter sedan release, and the car is car’s design is derived from X1 base, and is christened falcon 5. Ford the highly acclaimed American based firm is all set to launch B562 which is also a below four meter sedan. Volkswagen will bring in its less than 4 m Vento piece.
