Honda Cars India has a win-win situation at the moment. With its compact sedan Amaze turning the company’s fortunes, Honda is now ready to continue its aggressive product attack to ensure greater success and to grab the first position in the Indian auto industry. Honda has already launched the all new City this year to regain its long lost top spot in the mid-sized sedan segment.

Now, Honda India is all ready with its whole host of new cars to be showcased at the upcoming 2014 Indian Auto Expo. The Japanese luxury car major has announced its exhibition lineup for this important auto show, which will consists of Honda’s upcoming launches of Mobilio MPV and 2014 Jazz premium hatch along with some concept cars and Honda’s other cars. The all new City will also be there at display along with some new Modulo accessories exclusively designed for the model.

The main attraction at the Auto expo as far as Honda is concerned, will be however its two upcoming Indian launches, the Mobilio and Jazz, both of which are expected to launch within this year.

The Mobilio MPV is slated to be launched within the first half of this year. This new MPV is based on the Brio hatch’s platform and will be powered by the 1.5 liter i-VTEC petrol engine that does the duty under the hood of the City, and the 1.5 liter i-DTEC Earth Dreams diesel engine borrowed from the Amaze. The Mobilio MPV will be competing with Maruti Ertiga, Chevy Enjoy and the upcoming GO+.

The all new 2014 Jazz is also expected to launch in India towards the end of this year. This car will also be displayed at the Expo for the first time in India. The previous generation Jazz has been discontinued in India as its expensive tag did not suit the Indian public. The all new Jazz is developed using an entirely new platform and is a bigger and better car, with enhanced interior space and comfort. The new Jazz will mark the resurrection of the brand in India and is expected to be priced more reasonably this time around. The new 2014 Jazz is going to be manufactured at Honda’s second car plant in Tapukara, Rajasthan, with heavily localized components to keep its production cost down. Similar to the all new City, the all new Jazz will also come along with its first time diesel version.

Honda will not be displaying the much speculated Vezel SUV in India, but instead will exhibit the Vision XS-1 creative study concept model, which will be its world premiere. This is expected to be the Brio-based compact SUV concept model.

Honda will be also displaying its new Accord Hybrid in its stall. The Honda NSX Concept will also be displayed at the Auto Expo. Apart from these latest cars and concepts, Honda’s existing products such as the Brio, Amaze, City and the discontinued CR-V will also be showcased.
