In the Motor show at Tokyo, along with other vehicles, Honda has announced the launch of Jazz i.e. Fit, new SUV Vezel and Mobilio which is a MPV. Also, the new City sedan will be launched for the sedan lovers. This launch will give healthy competition to the rivals and help Honda in gaining maximum popularity through new range of products.
Here is a look of newcomers in 2014 with brief summaries and expected release dates along with prices.
Honda Vezel- the compact SUV
Looking at the increasing popularity of the compact SUV’s such as Ford Eco sport and most successful Renault Duster, Honda’s Vezel would attract the customers looking for vehicles in this segment. Honda CR-V got pretty good response and thus this Vezel would come with some of its looks. The Vezel has got a 1.5L petrol engine from City and 1.5L diesel from the successfully running Amaze. People are expecting a lot from Vezel and it will be launched soon in India but for now Honda has to meet the demands for Brio and Amaze. Its launch is expected to be in the last month of this year or may be in the early 2015 with the price tag between 6 to 10Lakhs.
Honda- New City
The new City boasts added space, trendy and improved features, better interiors and most interesting and important part is its diesel engine. The 1.5 L, Diesel engine will get i-DTEC technology from Amaze so that you can be rest assured of the dynamic performance from this new sedan. However, the petrol engine will remain the same as 1.5L with i-VTEC technology. The car will be available in showrooms in January 2014 and you can expect the price to be on higher end than the previous one i.e. 8.5 Lakhs to 12 Lakhs.
Honda Mobilio
Mobilio is a new MPV concept in India introduced by Honda for the first time in the market. This vehicle could be a game changer for Honda and for its response we have to wait till its launch. The MPV is based on the Brio platform and the price of the car would be competitive. Honda is keen to launch this MPV as early as possible in Indian market. Its looks, finished structures, features and performance will definitely amaze the customers.
The new Mobilio will be available in both petrol as well as diesel variants and its launch is expected after City. The price bracket of this MPV is can be expected somewhere near 7-9 Lakhs.
Honda Jazz/Fit
Honda’s Fit/Jazz has proved to be the best hatchback in the previous year. The complaining part of the car is its price and this time company has offered it at the price of around 6-8 Lakhs approximately and the launch is expected to be in the mid year. The improvements are seen in every aspect, but most important is the new diesel engine.
